I believe the special chest unidentified legendaries do level up with you, so you can save them for later. Unidentified items not in these chest don't follow your level, as you said.

Wow, I initially didn't grasp the traits, but I'm amazed by the wealth of information provided here. I'm currently at levels 20 to 25, so I think I need to be careful when selling gears. I am really enjoying this game

I've been doing a different talent/trait emphasis for each house playthrough. First was plants, second dark arts & spell slinging, third (current) ancient magic. What should my fourth be? 🤔 No gear traits for potions, sadly.

It took me a while to figure out gear score for offense & defense were the end all be all. I thought level might matter but it doesn’t just highest score in either category.

Here's my experience:
You can get all of the upgrade materials except for the phoenix feathers from the store in Hogsmede. This is what I primarily did to get the graphorn material early. The best way to get gear is through the shop. There is a way to trick the game to refresh the store inventory on a reload which is significantly quicker than waiting 4-5 times.
With x6 concentration traits, all orange gear with max stat for level 35, all fully upgraded except for the three that require phoenix feathers, I was killing all enemies on the first section of the map in a single hit with my spells except for trolls which are tanky. In southern part of the map, I was killing things in 2-3 spells. Technically my combo would kill them. I never used dark magic.

since the chests are one and done, does that mean if you clear everything, you'll eventually get them all?

I’d like to say a recent update fixed the problem with the chest and full inventory

came for the max stats tutorial, and was not disappointed

They’re should be a way for people to upgrade the armor to the max level

loot chests have been fixed now . when you go to open a chest first save the game then open the chest if its not a legendry just load the save and try again continue the same and a legendary will drop for you i have done it many times and it works .

I tried using death seekers shadow bow in Horizon but the whisker things didn’t appear and the arrow didn’t glow blue and make that sound… can you explain that? Maybe in a video?

There is nothing ‘Legendary’ about Legendary gear since all gear has just one stat. Ideally they should make gear with one, two or three stat bonuses based on color. Green is one stat Iike damage or defense. Blue would have damage or defense plus an additional stat boost like say for a spell boost. And Legendary would have base damage or defense plus two spell boosts. That way owning legendary gear is actually worthy of the name. (And they should look the coolest to wear too.) And they also need to add a trunk for storage in your dorm room. That would solve two problems - lack of storage and give you a reason to revisit your house room regularly, which currently in the game there is no reason to visit the house room.
