Two Boeing airplanes have fallen out of the air and crashed in the past six months. On the surface, this is a technical failure. But the real story is about a company's desire to beat their rival.

When Lion Air 610 crash with no trace because it's in the water, many blamed Lion Air not doing the right procedure. Even Boeing itself. I think somehow Ethiopian Air saves lots of life after. Because everybody was finally looked up to what happens since nobody care about what happen to Lion Air 610. Rest in peace all the soul from Lion Air and Ethiopian Air.

Is this really BOEING ?? First they destroy the aerodynamics of an airplane, then they "counteract" this with a strange unreliable system ! I will NEVER fly in this unreliable and unpredictable Boeing max 8 ! IF it ever flies again, all airlines in the future have to clearly make people understand what they are going into - to give passengers a chance to say NO! A chance to survive!

WHERE WERE THE, FAA ENGINEERS, THAT APPROVED ALL THESE CHANGES? THEY WERE ASLEEP WHILE THEY LET BOEING DO ALL THE WORK AND TELL THEM IT WAS ALL GOOD. SO, THE FAA JUST BELIEVED BOEING AND LET IT GO.
BOEING DID NOT INFORM THE FOREIGN BUYERS OF THE PLANE, OF THE PROBLEMS, SO THEY COULD GET THE TRAINING THEY NEEDED, TO KNOW HOW TO HANDLE IT. PLUS, BOEING DID NOT NOT MAKE SURE THE NEW SOFTWARE WAS INSTALLED, APPROVED, AND TESTED TO WORK PERFECTLY, IN EVERY AIRCRAFT, AS IT WAS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO DO SO, AS WAS IT THE FAAs RESPONSIBILITY TOO.
PLUS BOEING WAS CHARGING THE CUSTOMERS WHO BOUGHT THOSE FAULTY AIRCRAFT, FOR THE SOFTWARE, WHILE IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN PROVIDING THE FREE UPGRADE, TO MAKE THE AIRCRAFT AIRWORTHY. GREED! ALL THE BOEING OFFICIALS WHO ALLOWED THIS SHOULD ALL BE IN JAIL, FOR AT LEAST TEN YEARS, EACH !!!

    Probably poorly built.
Poor computer coding & poor management.
Pilots could of been trained better...to turn off autopilot.
However the problem was because of Boeing’s poor build over all.
These planes have become to reliant on computers to manage the same mechanics.
& the freemadson federal nutcase gov are to blame solely.

Why don't Boeing start making a modernised, lightened, re-engined 757s to replace 737s?

    • T8PolestarCyan
      T8PolestarCyan 2 дні тому

@Hamdan Abdullah Ok but wouldn't be easier to re-engine a 757 since it's inherently taller?! Boeing had to go though lots of trouble re-engined 737s and look what happened!
All they need to do is to fit highly efficient engines into 757s not like Rolls Royce RB211s, more like Pratt and Whitney geared turbofan or something.
Boeing already have developed 777Xs (not yet deployed as of 15 Jun 19) and surely can do something similar to 757s.
A 757NG-1, -2 or -3 can one of the highest by-pass, most efficient turbofan engines so to say, along with more composite materials to compensate for less power than current 757s.
737 Maxs already caused 300ish deaths, 2 crashes due to faulty MCAS. That's enough for the public to NOT to trust Boeing. I rather go for airlines that have Airbus A320/A321 Neos or even Comac C919s!

Be kind to answer me. Shouldn't all those automated maneuvres show themselves in a big display at the sight of the pilot saying they are being activated and why they are, so that the pilot would have a choice to easily deactivate them in the display itself, when he finds an error in the system? Otherwise get rid of the pilots for good.

The problem started when the FAA was bought up by the companies they're supposed to regulate and started working for the industry instead of the consumers and the people. Every company is bound to go too far for profits, that's why there are regulations in the first place. Boeing isn't that different in that sense from any other company. Where they're different is in the influence they have on the people who're supposed to regulate them.

It's not a scandal. It's a sensor malfunction. Airbus had the same problem on Qantas 72 flight. On both situations, the pilots had to fight the computer. It's easy to build "better" aircraft copying the success of others.

    • Herve B
      Herve B 4 дні тому

Its a scandal many times over. Never told the airlines or the pilots that the airplane is inherently unstable thus it needs software to keep it from crashing. They also kept the software (MCAS) a secret and it was never mentioned in the manual. Then they only used 1 sensor to engage the software (industry standard is 2 or more. Airbus uses 3) because using only 1 avoids requiring the pilots to do additional flight training.
