A dragon actually appears in the world map menu. It's completely random and happened when I was idle long enough on the map menu it flied across
Nice mate!! I couldnt get it to appear until after the Poppy quest but because that was a pre-update bug, hope you liked the video in any case and thanks for the headsup!
One little (and VERY easy to miss if you don't know where to look) easter egg that I think is neat is another cameo/tribute to a character from the HP universe that is played by a now-deceased actor. In the Room of Requirement quest/mission, when you first are walking through it with Prof. Weasley, on the right side of the main path you will come upon a Jack-in-the-Box that pops open as you walk by it. When it pops open revealing the "Jack" inside, they look suspiciously VERY similar to one Severus Snape, played by the late Alan Rickman of course. I thought that was really cool.
All the movie references are so awesome in this game! I haven't read the books, so I didn't get many of those references, lol.

I love the theory that the basilisk in the girls dorms is actually a giant squid glitch. There are so many hilarious glitches in this game, it makes total sense, and you can definitely see in the video that there seems to be a sucker on the "tentacle" as it moves

Another Ron Easter Egg is in the Transfiguration Room. There stands an exact Cup which Ron creates at the second Year as he try to transfigurate his rate and the Spell fail, because of his broken Wand :D

I mean in all honesty the icon for the Transfiguration spell is a reference itself. Everytime I look at it I instantly think of Ron.

Great video. I only just completed the Jackdaw questline so I've been to the lake with the stags and noticed that reference right away. I haven't seen any of the rest yet but I do know that the squid mural on the wall during the Jackdaw questline is house specific. Each house gets their own special part of the Jackdaw quest that others don't. I'm Hufflepuff and their unique part of the Jackdaw questline takes them to Azkhaban, which is pretty cool.
Sirius is a star, also known as “the Dog Star” it’s a star found in the constellation “Canister Major”. (No surprise Sirius black turns into a black dog) So when the student says “it’s a dog, right”. They aren’t wrong. He’s not talking about the person, he’s talking about the star.
The squid is part of the quest only or Slytherins, each house has a different version of how to get to the pages.

You missed one to go along with the reference of The Fat Lady and the hippo picture behind the map of Argyllshire. I am fairly certain that I also picked up a letter in there that was written by The Fat Lady to her best friend, Violet. It's not actually signed "The Fat Lady", but seeing as Violet was her gossip and drinking buddy and the letter mentions procuring mead from another frame, there is a very good chance the letter was, in fact, from The Fat Lady. Also, item description in inventory says so.

On the stag reference.. Lily Potters patronus was a doe which is why you see both stag and doe together. Snape copied her patronus cause he "loved" her.

Not seen anyone mention where as a boy wizard that if you try to go up the stairs in the Griffindor common room to the girls dom it turns into a slide - just like when Ron did in the Order of the Phoenix

Yes in the lore boys weren’t allowed to enter the girls dorms; stairs turn into slides as a preventative measure
It's different for some common rooms. In Ravenclaw the girls rooms are guarded by suits of armor who block you with their weapons.
The Astronomy lesson quote is an Astronomy reference. Sirius is the brightest star in the night sky, and forms part of the ‘Canis Major’ (Big Dog) constellation.

@AndyReloads Hanging in there! Just finished midterms, on track to graduate in May and transfer to a state school in the fall to keep working towards my doctorate, finally on the cusp of moving out too!! I'm making my way in the world!
@Spidercube SW mate, HUGE congrats, this is epic!! Genuinely really pleased to hear that, hope the move goes well and what date are you thinking about your doctorate?
@AndyReloads Still a long ways out, but once I finish my Literature degree I'll likely get a teaching job at a highschool or community college, then I need to get my masters in education within 5 years (NY teaching laws are weird). By that point if I'm not already teaching at a college, I'll get a job at one and, as a college professor, I should be able to take any classes I want for free and I can upgrade to a doctorate then, which should lead to a nice salary boost. If all goes swimmingly I should be able to get all Doctored up before 2030, but I'm in no rush. It all depends on how many classes I can reasonably take while also working as a teacher full time, which I should be doing within the next 2-3 years. Plans might change, but that's where I'm at right now.
If you're still doing this youtube thing by then you'll have an official doctor of literature to analyze any gaming lore you'd like at your disposal lol!

If you look at the Basilisk in slow motion you can actually make out the details and I swear I do see a Squid not a Basilisk you can clearly make out the cone top, eyes and tentacles

@AndyReloads possibly or to save some money and time they just used that model to represent the Basilisk since at a distance from what we can see before the image is zoomed in you honestly can’t tell the difference.

Is it possible that some of the Hogwarts Castle side quests are unavailable after reaching a certain part in the story? I feel like I missed so many on my first playthrough and I'm not sure why.
Apart from the house specific quests, all other general world quests should be available to you mate, is there a particular one you have in mind that you think you've missed?

There could be other that I assumed were Hogwarts Castle quests thatbare actually outside of the castle, so I could bw wrong here.

I wanna debunk a few "easter eggs" ive seen in other videos. First the grave behind hagrids hut...been said its a tribute, but many of the same gravestones can be found all over the map. Second is the portrait of Dumbledore....Ive seen at least 2 of the same portrait in different places...doesn't mean its not a tribute but not a one off thing...
Definitely mate, I think they've re-used assets in this regard but still a cool nod to those easter eggs I reckon; but we could also be wrong, and they're just random. Either way, great to theorise on lol!

When the student on the Astronomy Tower is talking looking for Sirius, they’re talking about the star.

Yes they're talking about the Star but it's obvious they've chosen Sirius because of his inclusion in the series and not because of it being some random Dog star, so it is an easter egg, not sure what you're getting at
@Tim Husson ... you serious? the house of black was famous for being obsessed with constellations, its why they're all named after heavenly bodies. Sirius is a dog animagus because the Sirius constellation is a dog, that's what he's getting at.

The student isn't referencing Sirius when he says his hands are cold and he can't find Sirius. Sirius is a star constellation (hence astrology) and it is known as the 'Dog Star'

9:55 this theory is actually fake sadly. You don't get to see the basilisk in game. Its not true because the snake is coming from a wall and doesn't really have enough room or anywhere to go to slither across the hallway.

It's a small boss encounter in a cave Mandy, no need to complete any quest to trigger it, hope this helps!

@AndyReloads ok wow that really passed by me. Maybe because the video pace is very fast and full load of information to keep up with? I dont know. Sorry for the insinuation. Its just I didnt saw the benefit for the secret "spoiler" for you video too. But maybe you can keep that in mind for future videos :D But if not its okay for me too :D just wanted to leave my opinion here ^^'
