Love the tremendous effort you put into making these videos for your viewer base to enjoy and learn from. Great work love your videos even tho I'm not so much "casual".
Yeah i was instantly stunned by the effects and design used 0:01
Rouge all the way.
no he made a pretty easy video to make money and a good life on youtube. He doesnt do it for you. Dont be naive
Im maining rogue but the most pleasant surprise for me during beta was a full blight screen wide dot necromancer with all the miasma effects. Definitely one of the most unique and thematically cool builds.
I will always find Rhykker when it comes to Diablo, his videos are simple, informative and enjoyable. I hope Diablo IV attraction will reach him a million sub! Have a good one Rhykker! 💯
My person problem is the size of the gameplay, I don't want to see him or other pictures just the gameplay. This is why I will pass this video and look for another one.
@Geeza 1589 I didn't even know he promote drinks/food. I'm not interested anyway.
We😢
The Rogue is a pleasant surprise for me. When I played the beta, I went right for sorcerous, and then Necro the week later for the open beta.
But I finally did try the Rogue, and it turned out to be my favorite (I also tried the barb and found him boring). The Rogue's mobility made it really easy to avoid damage, and the controls felt very responsive
EXACTLY my path too ^^
Yea I also loved the Rogue, it suprised me, def going to start off with the Rogue Class!
Agreed, I been having lots of fun with Invigorating Strike proccing Vulnerable when low on energy coupled with Flurry giving Vulnerability to everything, couple that with Dashing, Shadow step and Concealment my character is basically a Ninja LOL
The proccing Vulnerable is great in parties also since it makes it easier for the group as a whole to mop up monsters quite quickly :P
@Mr. Mammuthus Africanavus dont say any good thing about rougue.. blizard will nerf it
@Robert Nguyen LOL Oh yeah... Rogue actually sucks m'kay just play Barb ;P
Thanks for this! Appreciate how you laid out the identities of classes and sub-archetypes without going into the reeds of "build this this and this for this," it's nice to have a sense of what's possible and still get the chance to tinker and figure it out along the way
I immediately went with sorcerer because I love magic classes. I always love the feeling of casting magic from afar in any fantasy class game.
I am totally going with the necromancer. Blood magic and summoning the dead is just going to be way too awesome.
Top notch work as always. You do great with your informational graphics and being clear and concise on your explanations, even for the more complex concepts in the game. Keep up the great work, if you aren't subscribed you should be, this guy put out great material that benefits the entire community. I'm going Druid for my first run through because that was my first D&D character but after this video Barbarian really intrigues me.
Thanks for this video. Super clear and just the right level of detail. First time Diablo player here - game arrived this morning. Starting a sorcerer in my lunch break! Can’t wait!
After playing diablo 4 for a couple days, and knowing your videos from diablo 3 gameplay, man, you have this organized, and explained extremely well. Coming from a guy that loves a Barbarian Whirlwind, modified to be able to nearly continuously "helicopter" (at least when in combat, lol). Your videos are great, and you presented and organized this superbly well. Thank you.
One of the only people across so many rpgs that makes videos that don't require you to have beaten the game on max difficulty and started assisting the designers to begin to understand them! In all seriousness, excellent content. Love the breakdown, the visual examples, and seeing your excitement bleed through.
I love the idea of elemental casters, so I'm inclined to play Sorc. But, I was an amazon fan in d2, and a DH fan in d3, so perhaps I'll just cut to the chase and dive in to a ranged specific rogue.
Great vids Rhykker. Watched em all so far, very helpful. Can't wait for tomorrow!!
Thanks for the breakdown of each class. I usually like fast nimble classes but I want to try out druid for a bit of a change of my usual play style and I wanna try a werewolf/werebear build.
Was gonna go Barb as a classic, but you changed my mind with druid. Earth magic always intrigued me, and I didn't know druid had that. Also, the boon system seems pretty interesting in itself. Maybe I'll go for an earthen ursine build, or an earthen lupine build.
Earthern ursine is top tier with pulverize once you start getting legendary's for it. Played it during the beta and it smashed everything, lots of fun
That sounds like fun. What about a storm Druid?
@Jay Viktor Heard storm was pretty good too. Something about a storm wolf or something about that.
The amount of detail you put into these videos is great. Best diablo content creator out there!
Thanks for a great video.
Necro first for me. Fully agree on the corpse explosion being one of the most fun skills to play around. I am hoping for the spidery corpse explosion version from D3 where the corpses swiftly crawled to an enemy before detonating.
Was just playing the D3 Campaign as a Necromancer, beat it yesterday. I used the Spider Corpse Explosion as my main damage dealer, had all other skills set to give more corpses when possible, and its just EPIC,explosions everywhere on screen killing everything unlucky enough to be in range lol, loooove it. Hope they have similar skills for necro in D4 too.
During beta I tried a few builds and I'll go with Druid. Even though I felt weaker than my fire sorc or Rogue I had the most fun with my Earth caster that cycles between caster form and wolf and bear.
Something else I tried was a lightning sorc and I can imagine a crackling energy build being lots of fun when fully specced into.
Fire dot build was fun but I don't like the visuals of most fire skills.
Just bought Diablo 4 recently and decided to find a video about the classes as i wait for my copy to arrive. You did a great job breaking down each class and im torn between necromancer and sorcerer. I'm usually a mage kinda guy for any RPGs that lets me choose my class, but necromancer sounds like a lot of fun. Decisions, decisions...
I always go ranged magic but your roundup has inspired me to think again. I love how your videos show everything as you describe it deftly. Thank you.
An in-depth, concise and highly informative video. Very well done!
I am going Sorc after enjoying her during the Closed Beta. Also I felt like that the Melee Rouge was a tiny bit underwhelming compared to bows during the Server Slam I ended up finishing up act 1 story with using Bow because I was doing dmg quicker with bows and with Daggers.
I'm going to play all classes, but I think I'll start with a Barb. That's the only class I didn't spend as much time with in the betas. Plus, I think it'll be nice to play via controller. Sorc and Necro are definitely KBM. I'll end up doing a melee rogue as well which I'll play via controller. Druid I don't know yet.
Very well explained from start to finish. Keep up the quality content.
This was really well and clearly explained! Thank you ❤
Barbarian's been my go-to for every Diablo game, so I'm likely to start with one. However, all these classes look great! Can't wait to give them all a try.
Same! Start with barb then try the others
Thanks for the informative and detailed class guide! I will most likely go with Rogue since it was the first I ever played when I first started with Diablo 1 back in the 90s. Second will be Necro, but I will play all classes for sure.
I had fun with the necro in the beta, but the nerfed version in the server slam was less fun. Couldn’t explode corpses anymore because I needed them for resummoning. I think I will go with druid. I enjoyed them in the beta even though it was slow going in the low levels. I hope they gain momentum later on!
if the spirit boons gave us druids spirit regen when out of combat would fix the early game issues tbh. i hope the boons can make up for the Druid's early game weakness. Ur damage is low and ur starved for spirit... we shall see
I'm probably gonna pick Barbarian and Sorcerer to start with. I don't mind having to start slower with the Barbarian, I want to enjoy the gameplay and story anyway. I love whirlwind and that seems like a strong build late game. I've always been a mage fan and am probably going fire, only because I think it looks the coolest. I mean, that snake. Come on!
Also: You make fantastic videos. Keep it up!
I'm going with Whirlwind Barb as well! So I can enjoy the lore and the gameplay for the first time, slowly, taking my time.
Thanks bro, this is a really good class guide video. I haven't played any of the betas just so I can play all in one day one, this is a detailed guide without any spoliers. Im so hyped for this, I might just stick to barbarian to get used to things.
Love the gameplay and examples, just watched the barb section but I think this will be very useful to help me decide on my first class
just visually I think i like barb > druid > rogue > necro > sorc.
unexpected for me, because I usually like magic the most.
I think I'll go with barb, having 4 weapon slots sounds like it could get WILD later on.
Played Druid through the campaign, had a really rough time. Hit 50 and immediately made a Rogue.
I played all Diablos either with a Paladin or a Barbarian. I was always too afraid I might run out of Mana, so I never tried the Sorcerer though I always loved the visual effects. During the three betas, I tried the Sorcerer and the Necromancer and I made my decision: Sorcerer it is, for the very first time. I just can't get enough of chain lightning, haha.
Pssst try necromancer
Thank you for this. Very informative and looks like you put a lot into this. Great video
Rykker I have been subbed for many many years dude. Watching your old D3 builds back in 2013-2014. I just wanted to say thank you for being the ONLY big Diablo UAclips to not make a tier list and simply explain the classes specifically mentioning which one fits YOUR play style and will be the most fun.
Pushing endgame and grifts and such was cool endgame D3 but I always felt myself coming back to the DH regardless of whether it was topping the leaderboards.
Play what looks fun to you guys, not what other UAclipsrs say is the best on a game that isn’t even released.
You said it best man and we all know, ALL classes will eventually phase in and out of top tier. The meta always shifts in Diablo. Playing a class you hate just to hit high numbers isn’t going to be fun for the majority of people.
Glad to see you have become so successful and I will tell you that seeing you on that Diablo stream with the devs was awesome and you deserved it! Thank you for being loyal to us, as we continue to be loyal to you.
Thanks for the videos ( all of them on diablo 4) love the bias information, letting us choose our game style with information we can use :) melee support rogue build here, also have a team member going ranged rogue. then we have a druid, sorc, and barb... for our team round out!
I love your videos! Been watching for years! Cannot wait for more Diablo IV content. Thank you so much for all that you do!
So hyped for this game, going to play all classes eventually as I do with most aRPG's but I still have no idea who I'm playing day 1. I really enjoyed Sorcerer and Druid in the betas, not sure if to carry on with them or try one of the remaining ones.
NOOBGAME :-P
Amazing video as always. Thank you for sticking around for all these years ❤❤❤
This is my first entry into the Diablo series. This helped me clear a few things up. I really wanted the game so I could play a druid, and I will. But I may start with the Rogue to get used to the game play. Thank you for all of the information.
Going to start with sorcerer, like the elemental magic spells even if a very squishy class. Will try all the classes afterwards. Thank you for all the Diablo IV content and lore!
Amazing video, thanks for your detailed input mate. Truly professional
I can't believe I'm considering my 1st playthrough as Rogue. All my life I've been a magic guy but, that Rogue looks great.
Funny thing is, I’m the exact opposite just not decided yet
Dude I’m torn between necro and rogue
Opposite here, lol. I've always run melee rogue or barb. Started sorc in D2R, and may continue it D4.
Same here. I've never been a Rogue/Demon Hunter guy, etc., but this Rogue it plays and feels incredible.
play them all
Hey Rhykker, this is folk(s). Today I would like to thank you! You're one of THE game changers of the gaming and especially of the ARPG community! Keep rocking and don't forget to take care, rest well, and hydrate!
I still have no idea what class I want to start with.. Im thinking either the rogue or the sorc. I played a TON of the necro in the beta which was so much fun so I think one of those. The rogues play style looks so much fun being so fast paced! And as always Rhykker love your content man! Thanks for sharing so much info with us on Diablo 4 over the last few years!
While I'm still considering, most likely I'm going to be an Ice Sorcerer. I remember I liked an ice sorcerer a lot in Diablo II (haven't played Sorcerer yet in D3) so I'm very interested in that. The other possible ones are Rogue and Necromancer.
Sorceress seems like what I want to try. I tried Necro in beta but I didn't really see a way to make a huge undead army like Diablo 2.
I'm gonna play with a friend who's going sorc. I kinda wanna play druid, but I wonder if rogue isn't the better partner. They should match better in speed/mobility and I like the rogues ability to apply the vulnerable debuff. Any opinions on that?
Thanks for the awesome run through of each class very well spoken!
Barbarian is so ridiculously op atm that im gonna experience that power and go for fast lv100, then farm up truckloads of resources and legendarys/uniques, then choose the second char, prolly Necro or Rogue. Hope you all have a fun time in D4, i know i will have awesome time in early access in T-16 hours :)
1.5 :)
I just wanna say, your video on the mechanics is great, very informative and im sure ill be using it a lot once the game launches.
this is such an incredibly well made video. production quality is just insane. thanks for the guide rhykker
Great video I have played D3 before but briefly only because I had just paid for wow and started on rogue.D4 is coming out and I checked the traylors and different classes. I can't wait too play now and try all of them. Rogue looks awesome. def going to start with this fun looking class and play style. Thanks for the helpful advice and i know i'll enjoy!
Great video, thank you! I love the Druid but I’m really interested in the Rogue now!!
Definitely starting melee rogue, mostly for the D1 connection. Played a lot of rogue way back in the day. But my second run through will absolutely be barb, though my heart truly belongs to the armored, shield-user type classes.
They really don't like Diablo paladins huh.
I can’t wait to start building. This looks so much fun! Every character is unique
I think I'll start with werebear Druid, or maybe werebear/elemental or werebear/summoning hybrid. It is kinda disappointing that Sorcerers doesn't have passive that would work with builds that use multiple elements in combat, instead we have just a specialization.
I'm probably going necro for my first character. Summoning was super easy to roll through early game, and bone spear should be pretty brutal for end game.
For reasons unknown to me: Storm Druid is the way I think I am going to start. I always play Rogues and Sorcerer so I decided to start a little differently this time.
As a druid currently playing in the early release(lvl 31 atm) you're going to be disappointed for a while if you go Storm off the rip.
I'd HIGHLY recommend the storm basic attack(for easy vulnerable procs), the earth pillars and pulverize core skills(later on the pillars get easy auto crits so it's going ro be your big damage, pulverize for overpower damage), the bulwark for your defensive, and petrified for your ult. Synergy is bigger now than it has ever been, and due to the nature of how they have made Crowd Control in this game, you gotta go tanky, especially for the druid as we don't have a lot of Unstoppable options to get out of CC until later. 😊
In beta I played Necro and then Sorc. D3 was barb and necro as first characters. For D4 I am leaning really heavily on doing necro, something about the minions and corpse explosions and all that is fun lol.
I noticed something when conquering Dungeons. Each dungeon has a specific aspect reward which is tuned to a certain class. Each of this specific dungeon is designed and filled with monsters which are most lethal for that class.
I noticed when my Barbarian attempted to conquer a Barbarian aspect dungeon, it was filled with Walking trees which can cause a lot of damage close range. However when I use my Sorceress to take on that same dungeon, it is a piece of cake.
The same when I used a Necromancer for a Necromancer dungeon, it was filled with Boars which can charge to the backside and kill my Necromancer.
My advice when playing a class, DO NOT try to conquer dungeons which contain Aspect reward for your class. Use other character with different class to conquer that dungeon and collect the reward.
Rogue for me. Just loved it in the Betas and it suits my play style. Great video
🥷🏽 hell yeah!!! rouge 👍🏽✊🏽
Definitely
Yup me too
Same here 🤘
Hi Rhykker! I used to watch your old Diablo 3 videos many many years ago. I just returned for Diablo 4, glad to see you are still posting content!!! Keep killing it brotha God bless
Guess I'll be an edge lord necromancer after all. First time I'm jumping into the Diablo games so I'm very thrilled; I've always loved hybrid builds for spell casters and melee and looks like necromancer fills those boots. This video was very helpful
Druid looks the most interesting to me because we didn't get anything like that in D3. Plus I mained a druid in WoW. But the Rogue (not Rouge) looks like a lot of fun!
I have a question about the druid: when using werewolf/werebear skills, is the damage affected by the weapon you wield? It seems to me like every skill has a specific damage therefore it's pointless to even equip weapns because you can't even equip the regular basic attack once you have a skill like slash
I’m a casual perpetually hovering on the border of being a pro/hardcore player. Between you and @raxxanterax I always try to be aware even if I then don’t follow your advice, and just play to have fun. Thanks for your hard work!!
I honestly loved the Druid and knew their early game wasn't great, but I can guarantee you it looks real fun at max level
Which build endgame?
I loved the witch doctor in D3. What do you think I should choose? I love minions, I love casting spells, but the earthly ones. So druid? But I am not enjoying the melee part of him. So sorcerer or necromancer?
What do you think?
Thank you for this video btw.
Tough decision! Will play them all, but for first/main I'm going Barb. Tough early on, but strongest End Game and good team buffs.
I always run Necromancers if available but my god that Rouge class looks amazing sooooo tempted to main that first.
Watching this video made my decision for character even harder. I deciding between druid and sorc. And now I am also curious about barb
Great video! Really helped me pick out my class to play!
Im a bit shocked there is no Crusader.. I started playing D3 2-3 months ago. That class is actually the most interesting to me so far. I went with the Heaven's Fury build, and it feels unique
I also got a Whirlwind Barbarian. That is just very easy to play with. And i also have a Death Nova Necro. Not too difficult either. Wizard is m least favorite so far.. Cannot connect with it.
Im still gonna make a DH and Monk, very soon.
most of the classes here are from d2. if anything it should be paladin.
I won't buy it until they add Paladin.
Rogue for me! Such fast paced class and playstyle.. no other is like that. ^^
Going Rogue this time. In D3 was usually Barb or Monk. Rogue was fun in the beta. Barb will probably be my 2nd. Love the vid Rhykker!
Always love the content. I think my first playr through is gonna have to be sorcerer. I didn't have enough time in the beta to fine tune my build and would like to try to finish it.
In the same boat. I was having fun with the fire sorc but got zero legendaries to support it. Looking forward to seeing if it can compete with barrier sorc.
Going to try a Chain Lightning and Fire Wall hybrid. The Ultimate will be Inferno.
I am so torn between mecromancer and rogue, this is my first ever diablo game and they both look super cool and fun, I don't wanna settle for an easy class which may bore me but I really do not know which of the 2 to pick
Just picked up the game. Can't wait to get into it. Got something to watch while it installs 😊
Great Video, all classes look fun imo, probably gonna flip a coin between rogue and sorcerer to start.
Same here, I just can't decide between those
I think I will start as a druid. I can push through the pain that is the early game for druids, have done it twice already, until I get summons. Still very much not pleased that I am basically forced into meele, but maybe D4 gets a bit of rebalance for basic scills post launch
Most likely sorceceress, however from what I saw from the open beta/sever slam, there does not seem to be any viable option for mele sorceress (focus + restrain + spectral blades + teleport(calamity) was my favorite d3 build). Another issue that i have with d4 in general, may be because d3 has spoiled me too much with the ability runes, is that there doesnt seem to be option to change the elemental type of a skill, for example frost hydra, lightning orb, etc. Of course, it doesnt makes sense for each skill to be each element but some options would have been great.
I've mostly played barb, druid and rogue in the beta weekends/server slam, and between them I'm unsure what to play. I've played story with the barb, and have to admit, struggled with the bosses. But other bosses on other chars also gave me frustration, so maybe I just suck or haven't found a good boss killer build yet. Hoping for the latter, but obviously suspecting the former.... Headstart is almost unto us, so looking forward to it! :D
I really want to do a wolf pack, I got it going with beta that turned my pet wolfs into werewolfs and it was just so so satisfying... not super powerful early game but again T1 is a cake walk so I can just lower it if needed but I like the challenge
I don't know waht to start with. I love the fantasy of the rogue, I like the mobility and their overall "badassness". But I tried bone necromancer in the beta and BOY that thing is satisfiying. Every single spell is gorgeous to cast, they feel snapy, if you know what I mean. The fantasy is also very nice but rogues' lore is much more appealing to me. Any opinions or advice? Should I choose lore over gameplay? Or the other way around?
I was hoping for a Witchdoctor again 😂😂!! Oh well had a lot of fun with the Sorcerer, Necromancer and Druid!! So might start out with a Druid for my first play!! Man I CAN’T WAIT
Barb has the best combat mobility skill in the game: Lunging Strike, the basic attack - an infinite screen-long teleport with no cooldown. The only reason, frankly, for me to consider playing Barb.
Ever since the rogue was first revealed I had my mind made up that was gonna be the class I main. I’m a sucker for the hooded assassin archetype!
Just picked up the game. Wizard has been my go to for d3.
Love the element's. Also low key leveling a spell druid lol.
Overall looking forward to the game!
You gave the best builds for D3, looking forward to some D4 build guides.
I had changed accounts and lost track of you...nice beard.
Love the game! Three classes i totally plan to play. Thank u
What a great video for a beginner! Thank you! It's a tough choice between rogue and sorcerer but, as a noob, I'm going with sorcerer
I love the druid so far, despite its issues, but I'm having a really hard time connecting with any of the other classes. They all feel kind of hollow.
I wanted to play death night necromancer, haven't seen any spell that would support that, so I'll have to settle for melee Sorc, that was really fun in beta
Played Rogue during the Beta and Server Slam. Was tough to master as you said. Perhaps I'll start with Barbarian in the full game.
Every Diablo game I go with the Warrior / Barbarian class and reallly looking forward to the D4 Barbarian class!
Rocking a rogue for my first campaign. Been playing with Combo points shadow imbued penetrating shot.
By FAR the best guide out there, thanks for the info
I am still trying to decide between necromancer and rogue. I enjoyed both in the beta.
i'm going to start with Monk, once they include it and i buy the game when they release it. But Rogue and Barb were very fun in the betas and look great in the game!
Well, I played Druid and Sorcerer in the betas and server slam, so I might go a different route and play with class I haven't experienced yet. However, I tend to play through the first time with the class that I can see myself being if this was a real-life scenario. So I'll probably run a Druid again, because I want to see all the mechanics I missed out on only being able to level up to 20. I heard they start slow, which I can confirm, but get interesting mid and late game.
