My thoughts go to the passengers on the private aircraft. Very sad. 😢
Lol

@sue mccord I'm a real person
@Christopher i dont really get why your laughing about people dieing
This is terrible. My heart goes out to their families. I hate putting my life in others hands.
then dont fly
We already put our lifes in others... Thousand planes flew above us every day....
@Viewer UAclips and the odds of one falling on you are pretty astronomical lol.
Every time you step outside your life is in others hands. There’s no escaping the grim reaper. Just enjoy the time you have here with your friends and loved ones
Rip to everyone on that flight and salute to the fighter pilots keeping us safe
You are the most powerful country, and no one has the ability to hurt you. What you can do is to use your strength to hurt and rob any country in the world.
That's too real for them man they wont listen even though they've been doing it for decades. They have an excuse for everything. You can never have an honest conversation about that with an American. Never in 40 years have I ever been able to have that conversation with someone about it in my own country. It's always something. And on the internet. Once you've spent too much of your time and cornered their logic finally. You will either get no reply, a joke, or a response that ignores half of what you said to insult or excuse it

Sending my thoughts to the passengers aboard the private aircraft. It's truly heartbreaking. 😢🙏
Hi there
RIP the passengers on board.
Peaceful way to go at least.
Euphoria before going, we all want that. We don’t know who they were yet..
God bless
They aren't confirmed dead yet.
RIP to all people that perished in the crash.
There was only a crash after it was it with a sidewinder
WOW VERY DANGEROUS SIR! 😠 😠I WILL NEVER GO TO USA!!😠 BUT THIS WHY IM SO LUCKY LIVE IN SUPER INDIA THE CLEANEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD 🇮🇳🤗 , WE NEVER SCAM! @indiasuperclean6969 the hell you say! I knew there were toilets everywhere because of the way you just shut on the ground but no scamming? Come on now I hav stock in call center in India baby let me tell you business is a boomin'
@INDIA SUPER CLEAN 🇮🇳 Your comment would be true if it was opposite day.
They reported more about a stupid sonic boom than the lives of the 5 people who died.
Oh man this is so sad my heart and soul goes out to everyone on board and their families
ok

My condolences to the ones lost 😢

@INDIA SUPER CLEAN 🇮🇳 HOW BOUT THAT TRAIN CRASH, BUDDY?
This is a distraction
@INDIA SUPER CLEAN 🇮🇳 your country never scams?😂😅
This is horrible. Such a sad and tragic thing to happen. I am deeply saddened by this to happen to the families. I hope the family can find peace in such a tragedy.
Tragic. Heartbreaking. I'm surprised an atmospheric pressure alarm isn't mandatory in all planes, to alert the pilot before low oxygen causes drowsiness, the way carbon monoxide detectors alert occupants in houses.
Rapid decompression there’s no time except to don an oxygen mask. You make get a cabin altitude warning in this scenario, but the cabin is already at whatever altitude the aircraft is cruising at.
I doubt that happened. It was probably something else.
They are mandatory on pressurized Part 25 aircraft
theres already a thing for that its called a high cabin altitude warning, when the cabin altitude passes 10,000 feet, it will sound an alarm in the aircraft. Basically any plane with a pressurized cabin has one of these. For example the private jet that was shown in the video.
I agree that there has to be more to this story. Especially since if they knew the name of the aircraft, who it belonged to, it's place of departure and expected destination they would be able to access the manifest within minutes of contacting the tower or the FAA.
There's much more to this story and this is just a bogus explanation.
My heart and sincerest empathies go out to the deceased. Our military is PHENOMENAL! I believe they saved countless lives today. I’m glad they returned to safety.
Amen I feel deeply for that family. I was just thinking what would had happened to that plane if they didn't intercept? Maybe more lives lost. Does make me appreciate our military.
I spent 5 years of my childhood in the Cambrian mountains of Wales, the British airforce would use the mountains for training. Almost weekly I would hear sonic booms and see jets weaving between the mountains, skimming the edges of the Cambrians and flying so close to the ground. It was a wicked sight to witness as a kid 🤗 I'd go off by myself exploring the mountain and would see the jets go past before I'd hear them, I'd climb up on the old stone walls and wave at the pilots - a few even waved back 🥰
Rest in peace to those who lost their lives ❤
Only the pilot died.
@Sandy Underpants I thought I read it had passengers, apologies
Yeah they still do this in the Lake District as well
@Jack they'd still do it in the Cambrians as well I reckon 😊 I emigrated to Aus when I was 10, so it's been a long time since I've seen the mountains 💔
My husband is Welsh l, we live in Worcestershire, in laws still in Wales, yes, they still fly low, its awesome to see. We get them around our area too as we're out in the countryside.
That’s so sad. My heart and prayers go out to the families.
I love the response time of the military here, regardless of intent they made it to the aircraft before it went down. That’s impressive, sorry to hear people had to go down like that
They always can any fighter jets can reach most airspaces within 5 minutes they travel Mach 5
Dude the fighter jets shot this plane down. How can you not read between the lines in this reporting? Pay close attention to the details the media has released. Plane flies thru restricted airspace and pilot was unreachable on the radio. Fighter jets scramble, then shoot “flares” to “get pilots attention” then after that the plane just magically crashes? They report the pilot “was passed out” but if all 4 people onboard died, and there was zero radio communication, then how the hell does anyone know the pilot was passed out?
RIP to the passengers and crew.
So incredibly sad, condolences to all concerned. God speed. . RIP to all people that perished in the crash..
God? Wtf....
When the airline attendants on your plane brief you about the use and wear of those little oxygen masks its specifically to prevent this from happening to you. Pilots have their own special quick-don versions always at the ready next to them and training to use them at the first indication of rapid decompression or smoke/fumes. However, sometimes it can go unnoticed. Truly sad
Depending how high they were flying ? May not have needed O2 unless they experienced depressurization within the cabin , sad event that can occur suddenly .
Well it didn't work
Those only drop during rapid sudden loss of cabin pressure. A slow leak can deplete the required levels before the sensors trigger. And by then your either already passed out or to incoherent to react
Commercial flights also have a crap ton of ground maintenance and inflight procedures smaller craft probably don't have. When people say flying is the safest form of travel, I'm pretty sure that only applies to commercial flights.
Gee, thanks Walter Cronkite
My Heartfelt Condolences to the families 🙏💜
So incredibly sad, condolences to all concerned. God speed. 😢

@INDIA SUPER CLEAN 🇮🇳 are you done here look every country have their own plus and minus , hating on the basis of some events is just plain bs ... Don't be ignorant , be a learner. And stop harassing other by hiding behind keypad of mobile.
I HOPE THERE'S GOOD NEWS 👍🙂📰
@Anaconda🐍 did you respond to an obvious copypasta lol
Thank goodness nobody was injured on the ground. RIP to the pilot and passengers.
Very sad incident. It appears that the systems worked as they should. Hats off to the responders.
What systems
Man that is heartbreaking.. RIP; hopefully there are changes to planes to ensure this doesn't happen again.
they should put some kind of oxygen monitor in them or something. Man, I could probably make a lot of money with that idea, why am I giving it away for free on the youtube comment section? I'm an idiot.
@Sandy Underpants These kind of tragedies remind me of the loss of Kobe and his daughter.. absolutely tragic.
@Michael Jones That was a helicopter and there were no basketball players on this jet, or daughters, or peole that mattered at all or else they would have reported on them.
I HOPE THEM PASSENGERS AND PILOTS ALRIGHT 💙💨🤍🔥💚 OSH#
@Sandy Underpants yes, there was a daughter and her two year old, and a nanny. Why be such a ghoul?
🇯🇲Condolences to the family and friends of the passengers and pilot😭💔🇯🇲
I'm sure they troll through UAclips comments and find comfort in your condolences.

Tragic to say the least...RIP to all who was a board! 🙏
Rip to all 4 who passed away ,thank u to all involved, my thoughts and prayers for all of the people involved 😢
Blessings to the families who lost loved ones 🙏🏼💞
Sympathy and prayers for each. Such a tragedy.
Rest easy to everyone involved.
So sad that man lost him daughter and grand daughter. His family lost. Sending prayers
My prayers go out to the poor souls on that plane who passed away in the crash. May God welcome them into his Kingdom.
My thoughts go to the passengers on the private aircraft. Very sad. 100%!
Everyone was already knocked out as well not only the pilot.
They all were asleep or dead from a lack of oxygen.
This happened to another private jet '1999 South Dakota Learjet crash" that lost cabin pressure and slowly depressurized knocking everyone out the Learjet ultimately ran out of fuel and crashed killing everyone aboard.
Thank You
That was the pro golfer Payne Stewart and his associates and the 2 pilots at that time. Tragic.
Thank you
Yep , the golfer Payne Stewart jet experienced the same situation ?
Maybe, maybe not. It goes without saying.
My son is a corporate pilot. This breaks my heart!🙏🏽
Usually this is reported as a tragedy. But apparently the government being alarmed is more important
nah sonic booms big story
I hope everyone is OK. My fiance died flying. Love you Ken.
I'm so sorry for your loss
@Michelle Thank you so much. It's been hard.
Oh wow very sorry to hear this. Condolences and stay strong Ambria. The healing takes time and will be with you for life; but it does get better. Take care and sending a hug and love from the internet to your heart. 🫡❤️
I’m so sorry to hear about your fiancé Ambria 🙏🏻
Hang in there.🙏
We very sorry to loosing those experts, and our condolesence to their families
Hope the F16 pilots ok… tough to see innocent people die and can’t do anything to help.
A perfect example of that is the voice recordings from the Greek fighter jet pilots who witnessed the crash of Helios Airways Flight 522.
Also tough to shoot down a not responding air jet
There wasn't anything they could do, it wasn't their fault.
I’m sitting here trying to figure out what the second aviation incident is and now I realize they are calling the sonic boom an “aviation incident” 😂😑
If hypoxia was the case, then all the passengers may have been overcome too and mercifully may have been passed-out when the crash happened. Condolences to the families and thank you to the military jet crews who did go up.
You still feel it upon the crash and the fire unfortunately. This is a sad incident indeed
Pilots of high altitude aircraft, especially those without a copilot, have to maintain super good overall health and avoid fatigue, the bane of info processing and task management. RIP.
Damn. RIP to the victims of the private plane crash. Terrible fate.
Prayers to the family

Hate to hear about the crash. My best to the families.
I heard the sonic boom here in Pittsburgh PA. I’m use to the sound barrier being broken in the 1960s.
My condolences to the families, I pray for God’s peace to be with them.
onboard: Piolet, Father, Daughter, 2 year old Grand daughter & the nanny. i hope everyone was passed out so they didn't have to live in fear for their last moments. absolute tragic. RIP
They spoke more about the F16's than the people on the flight that have tragically lost their lives. That's a weird media fixation on the big sound rather than the human element of this tragedy.
They left out the most important part; How was Brandon's score today.
Yes, I found it strange the report did not mention casualties.
@Paula Or show footage of it... You would think they would have someone on the ground.... Very strange reporting, curiously so...
to the family of the people who died I am so sorry
RIP to everyone that died
Why?? Maybe they were bad people!!
huh
@Patrick Hayes have you no decency
@Patrick Hayes true
Prayers for the families involved for God’s peace and comfort.
I grew up near an air force base, and sonic booms were a regular occurrence. It was AWESOME!
I was born in 1969. Grew up in a small town in Oregon. I didn't live close to any bases, and the closest ones were small. I remember hearing Sonic Booms often when I was a kid. It was pretty effing cool though.
I did also. I eventually hated it.
I grew up in Fl. We always knew the space shuttle had returned when we heard the sonic booms.
As a kid I grew up in Denver, Colorado. We regularly experienced them there and also when I lived in New Mexico. It’s enough to make you jump out of your skin, but it’s quite a thrill!
No doubt. My uncle lives in Rachel Nevada near area 51 and everytime we visit we are treated to all kinds of sonic booms
rip to everyone on the plane
I wonder at what point after turning around the pilot passed out. My condolences to the families of all that were onboard the plane….
Why fly all the way there and turn around? If there was a problem why not land where you was headed? Why not radio the tower of flight plans changing? More at foot here then they telling us.
fishy
Very likely lost pressurization and passed out prior to even reaching islip on Long Island. The aircraft never began an initial descent into the Long Island airspace even before turning back. Flight computer likely has some sort of return to starting point that caused the turn
@SP258 really? I was thinking shot out of the sky
@libertyforamericanow absolutely not. Radar/satellite replay shows a fast descent with a sharp right turn before the radar track drops. There is absolutely no reason we would shoot it out of the sky, especially after flying for 30 min away from DC. If it wasn’t seen as threat enough to shoot approaching DC, they would never shoot it down over the Appalachian mountains in the middle of nowhere. Likely ran out of fuel with all passengers hypoxia and unconscious
God bless our brave AirForce!
That’s insane! Love the quick response though. Rip to the people that died
Great job Air force! rip to the others
Nothing great about this
My Lord. Sorry sorry for the victims and families 😢I pray for their peace
RIP all members of this tragedy.
Stay safe out there pilots.
I grew up in the early 60s near Malmstrom, where sonic booms were frequent. I truly miss them.
Used to have Concords always going Super Sonic in VA back in the 80s
Minot here. I miss B-52s.
Always lead with condolences when reporting stories like this, you barely even mentioned the human beings that likely died in this event.
Likely? They crashed into the side of a mountain. They didn't feel a thing. Very sad though
@Nick Elliott As of the time I posted, it wasn’t confirmed. I don’t want to be accused of misinformation. Best guess is they lost cabin pressure so they would have all been passed out on impact, probably a blessing.
Have a good day.
Even if the passengers hadn't been unconscious, they didn't feel a thing. Crashing into a mountain at 900mph you're dead instantly.
I had to watch this video about five times thinking I'm missing something here, just to realize they're talking about 1 aviation incident the whole time- the plane crash. The headline really confused me 😵💫
Something happened yesterday as well F16s circling my house in VA. Never seen anything like it. Haven’t heard what’s really going on, or anything about yesterday yet
Same, it was a little confusing at first.
I thought the pilot of an F-16 was passed out and 2 more F-16 chased it down lol
Now I realize, 2 F-16s chasing one Learjet with their pilot and passengers passed out the Lear jet crashes and kills 4 people, or is that 5, including pilot?
Sad any way you look at it.
More than one misleading title lately
But we clicked.
Sad parallel stories, one an aviation tragedy and other, … hypoxia and loss of operational control.
Better to fly w two pilots and not golf alone.
So what AREN'T THEY SAYING? I no longer trust anything these people tell us. Was that an old film clip Joe? How would any sane person let Joe drive when he can't even walk w/o falling down?
I ❤️ and respect our Soldiers. 🥰🤗🤗🤗
I love and respect them, but not the companies they fight for l.
@Slowbro they don’t fight for companies they fight for you
It is sad that even in modern times we can't save planes in this situation
reminds me of an old flight where everyone on board passed out and only 2 crew members where conscious and the plane went down due to having no fuel and fighter jets where scrambled and saw the crew member put the plane down in an open space.
That's Helios Airways flight 522.
@Captravels Aviation yes that's the one a really interesting event that happened
If the pilot was unconscious, it makes you wonder how the plane did a 180 degree turn.
Auto pilot
@Die and Reload It was a Cessna 560 Citation "V". It does not have autopilot and was an older model of a Cessna private jet from the late 1980's. It may have done a 180 if the pilot had his foot pushing one of the rudder pedals while unconcious. Its definitely a possibility. Its a very nice aircraft no doubt but its not very "techy" compared to newer aircraft so I doubt the instrumentation could handle such a huge task even if it was retrofited with an autopilot system.
@AB so your anecdotal evidence applies to all I'm sure
Let their souls rest in peace.
The sonic boom literally shook my house. Crazy to realize this stuff actually happens its not just news
Yes it’s almost as if the news reports on real life events and doesn’t just make stuff up…
Dang bro. Life in the pilot's hands.
Job well done! 💪🏻🇺🇸
It's very scary. Sorry to everyone who was on the plane.
RIP to all souls on board. Pilot probably spent his whole life paying and studying hard to make it in the cabin. Sad!
Hopefully they develop a solution for all pilots. They were starting to measure the pulse of fighter pilots to gauge how they react to certain situations over a pulse reader, and maybe they can use the same hardware to tell if a pilot is knocked out, passed out, sleep and use that information to somehow communicate both to the pilot before it happens, or over communications to the nearby ports.
Surprised we don't have automated flight systems in all planes in 2023
Irony of ironies. When I was a child (late 60's, early 70's), we heard planes break the sound barrier leading to a sonic boom, regularly. And now, the look of shock on those peoples faces is astounding.
You have to wonder, for how many of those people in these videos is this a new phenomenon?
Being from a rural area, I thought I had a pretty sheltered childhood, but I am amazed at the numbers of people in this country who consider events like this as shocking or foreign.
It’s very unusual. Many thought it was an explosion, which is a pretty bad thing living near DC
Either way, the fact that supersonic flight is restricted only for national emergencies is enough to make anyone be worried, whether you know or not
@Willie Wilson I live in an area surrounded by military bases, Navy, Army, Air Force, and Coast Guard. I know more about the military than you know, and I have known that there has been a moratorium on breaking the sound barrier over land. But my reference was to the reaction of people not knowing what it was!
It’s very unusual for people who live in a urban area because jets are not supposed to boom over cities because of the property damage the boom can cause. That’s why a) we didn’t know what it was; generally this kind of sound is caused by a lightning strike but the sky was clear; and b) once we knew it was planes we got really concerned because they would only do that in an emergency. Given the proximity to the Capitol and White House, terror attack is the first thing that comes to mind.
@david Horsley well considering how rare it is and the fact that any boom (shockwaves don't care about what caused them) can sound like an explosion or supersonic makes it hard to tell
I love the way American Airforce security personnel works.
Wow in danger and no secret service around? Thoughts and prayers for those lost.
What are you talking about? Are you talking about around the president? If you think they aren’t on the course with him then your wrong
That really should build confidence in the country’s ability to respond to an unknown aircraft when you see that by the time the vipers were scrambled the other plane had already crashed.
May God have mercy on the souls of the deceased.
Wow I'm scared to fly now., God bless the families of those who passed.
Commercial aircraft have pressure differential sensors. If at above a certain altitude the aircraft senses the pressure inside is dropping, it will automatically deploy the oxygen masks for passengers to use. It also will alert the pilots to dawn their masks. The pilots will do so, and lower the aircraft to an altitude where people can breath on their own. It is very important to dawn your own mask before helping others, because if you pass out you won’t be able to help anyone.
That’s sad 😢
WOW VERY DANGEROUS SIR! 😠 😠I WILL NEVER GO TO USA!!😠 BUT THIS WHY IM SO LUCKY LIVE IN SUPER INDIA THE CLEANEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD 🇮🇳🤗 , WE NEVER SCAM! @INDIA SUPER CLEAN 🇮🇳I know it's sarcasm but imagine if there is any Indian that thinks like this😂
A tragedy, but I feel safer knowing that the Air Force is out there ready at a moments notice.
Damn I hope everyone is okay
Lol
🙏 for the victims and families
Thoughts too.
i must have alzheimer's because i dont remember asking
RIP 😢to the People in the private jet.
“The jets took off around the same time as the plane crashed” but also “the pilots of the jets observed the pilot was incapacitated and they used flares to try and get his attention”?
You're not paying attention.
Very impressed with the F-16s ability to scramble into immediate flight💥
I’ll bet their alarm was heightened by the presence of our president. Sorry for those lost in the crash 😢 how is it that planes are not equipped with alarms for a loss of atmospheric pressure?
The sky does not forgive , RIP for all lost .
I was good friends with one of the passengers. So sad as I just spoke with her the other day. Her young daughter too. They were on their way back home in Long Island. Still baffled by this
plane malfunction
This incident reminds me of the crash that killed golfer Payne Stewart - which was also a private jet that went cold on the radio due to hypoxia in the cabin and was chased by F-16s till it's doom.
Welcome to my childhood. This was a common experience in the 60s.
Wow! First I’m thinking can a private jet create a sonic boom?!? Condolences to the people in the Cessna who passed! How did they get the video of the couple experiencing the sonic boom?
f16
It's interesting that they didn't speak about the fate of those on board the crushed airplane. My their souls rest in peace
Because they're fine, other than being in Long Island now.
I like the response time of the military here, regardless of their intentions of getting to the plane before it goes down
Everyone says flying is the safest way to travel, yet you hear things like this almost daily
My Condolence to the once who lost their lives 🇮🇳
It was just the pilot and a flying squirel in the tree he hit.
@Sandy Underpants poor squirrel:( did not deserve to have been hit by a damn jet
Just like the sign (since we were a family of pilots) that we had hanging in our garage when I was a kid: “When I die, I want to go peacefully in my sleep, like my grandfather; not screaming like his passengers.”
Been reading stories of small planes crashing a few times each month
Yeah. Makes me realize big jets are safer.
@Haven Lady for now
A really nice oncologist died in a crash yesterday in my hometown of Tupelo Mississippi.. along with the pilot. No crashes here in Puebla Mexico this week. We've only been dealing with Popocapetl volcano 😮
It was Alien,s that done this .Just ask Q.
good to know air national guard was up on alert readiness.
