What's the best TV series of all time? Thumbs up if Better Call Saul is one of you top picks.
The Wire
By far.
Better Call Saul 100%
TYPOOOO
It’s crazy how well Saul is able to portray this Bob Odenkirk character
He is a Slippin Jimmy!
Never saw any of his interview. I suddenly realized Bob odenkirk and Saul Goodman are the same person.
Well, he had a lot of practice on that sketch show he did with Tobias Funke
Bravo vince
bro but they have such different personalities
Sean's last question monologue and seeing Bob's face light really shows the power of Sean as an interviewer
ok

Bob Odenkirk at the beginning really was giving vibes that he didn't want to be there doing a gimmicky interview and had really low expectations. But, Sean's ability to ask thought-provoking questions and keep guests entertained is AMAZING! By the end you could tell Bob was genuinely enjoying himself. Keep it up Hot Ones!!!
I was just going to write the exact same sentiment!! 😊
Stolen comment report this
@Superego who cares
Hes just from chicago.
@djc97 It's a bot that steals the top comment...
Nothing annoys me more than how underappreciated this man is as an actor. Jimmy McGill is my favourite fictious character of all time and Bob is the reason why he is so great.
I think Odenkirk's acting chops were apparent early in his career. He demonstrated a wide range on Mr. Show.
How does the movie Nothing annoy you? Its a great movie and i think Bob is great in it!
@Theo_czx he doesnt mean it like that LOOL not the movie just the word
I noticed that most of the comedians Sean brings to the show are actually serious, mostly cynical and really observant and intelligent people, who put up some kind of a defensive facade in the beginning and slowly open up towards the end.
Big guy,
Most of us comedians suffer from deppression...
We hide it, behind the JokeyLowkey facade, so yeah, keep your eyes peeled...
@Dudniabig guy,
Don’t talk like you’re on the same level as the comedians Sean brings on this show until you’ve at least uploaded a single clip of your comedy. They say “everyone’s a comedian” but until you can prove it you should stay sitting in the audience
Why you americans got to be so aggressive? I mean no harm
Cynicism breeds comedy
@CarterArts !
I love how engaged Sean is when Bob is retelling a joke or story, it’s like your cool uncle you never see all the time
Aw. I was thinking the exact same thing 🥹
The fact that he never won an Emmy for his portrayal of Saul Goodman is the biggest snub in the history of any award. Such a talented actor.
He's still eligible for the back half of season 6 at this year's Emmy's IIRC.
the biggest snub is Steve Carrell never winning for The Office
Just stop pretending these awards mean anything. He created one of the most beloved characters in a show of all time. That's all there is to it.
@rockcabbage I imagine he still wants an Emmy, regardless of the meaning the fans choose to give behind it
Him and SC as Michael Scott
I can listen to Odenkirk's voice forever. It is so soothing and familiar to me. I'm not a Fandom sort, but when it comes to Bob, I'm obsessed.
Your comment hits home. His voice is precious ❤
You are right, his voice is just what I want to hear everyday, not fetish or anything.
me too 😭 I fell in love with him
"It's gonna hurt you more than anyone you resent" is such good advice. You gotta love Bob
I ve noticed some amazing advice here, I cant believe he is wise and funny at the same time. this is a lucky combo
Bob definitely warmed up in this interview. He went from being a bit frosty to being very relatable and enjoyable.
An amazing portrayal of how spicy the wings are. Through Bob's brilliant acting, we can fully sympathize with how much the wings were on the Scoville scale. Bravo Vince!
Cry 🤡
Ironic that they got Saul acting in a show called "Lucky Hank"... maybe it's a parallel universe.
@nahor88 Cry 🤡
@John Smith brother take your meds
@Ace Cry harder 🤡
Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul are 2 of the GREATEST shows ever created! Thank You Bob, amazing interview Sean.
Breaking bad is def the greatest ever
Yeah absolutely, BB & BCS are amazing! Was gutted when it ended. Have rewatched several times, and looking forward to watching it with my son when he’s a bit older
BB is the greatest show in TV history and BCS is the greatest spin-off in TV history
@frank gallagher I think bcs just edges out past bb
@V N Doesnt matter which one is the greatest, whoever missed bcs after bb is their biggest loss. bcs completed so many crucial lore of BB universe!
Bobby is more relaxed of a dude than I assumed. Just very calm with bits of humor and theatrics sprinkled into the mix to go along with his natural charm. What a guy.
We have Bob odenkirk to thank for a lot of comedy! It’s crazy how far he goes back on the improv scene too. I honestly think he’s underrated and far from the public eye when it comes to his writing talent. He’s really a genius and I’m glad he’s getting so so so much love.
It's incredible to see Bob talk. Decades of show biz wisdom seeps out of him. I don't care for childrens books but I will 100% pick that up just to support such an incredible journey with his kids.
I love how every guest is surprised at their own good time brought on by this amazing and underrated host with the most unpredictable and surprising interviews.
My favorite thing I often hear them say is, "I'm surprised you know about that." lol Of course, it's always great when they admit that they were surprised at their own good time.
Another great episode. Thanks so much!
Also, shout out to the editors. You really know how to bring out the best in what this show has to offer.
Amazing guest - Bob is a legend and seems so down to earth.
Yes, indeed
Everyone else: tries to withstand the heat to look tough by nibbling small bites of the wings and not drinking any water.
Bob Odenkirk: eats dinner.
The most underrated actor/comedian of our lifetime.
It’s actually insane that the writing in BB and BCS is so good that Bob has learned life lessons from playing a character in those shows. “Let go of resentments” is a major theme in both shows and although they’re fictional, they’re so well written and believable that the actors involved feel those themes on a personal level. As does the audience.
Sean is always professional and tries to be a gracious host with pissy guests, but I feel he was a gleeful fan boy with Bob. Like he met his comedy hero. And I’m happy for him.
Sean’s guest lineup lately has been crazyyy, if there was ever a golden age of hot ones this would be it
Has anyone else started buying wings to eat while watching? For years, I watched and it really made me want wings everytime. I then realized it's within my power to make that happen lol
I have!
@Dominick WestNo. You haven't done that.
@John Smith That's not really your name.
@Joseph Smith Why
@John Smith 😂
Bob: yeah I'm not really a hot sauce guy
Also Bob: proceeds to crush every single wing and give clear, coherent answers
he isnt a hot sauce guy because he is too strong for it. like eating baby food.
yea he took a lot of bites
Not being a hot sauce guy doesn't mean you can't eat it.
@Freighter 109 I'm so not a hot sauce guy I get sympathy acid reflux just watching this show 😂
Why did a a read this as "I'm not really a sausage guy"
Bob's brain is lightyears ahead of us to the point where the spiciest wing can't stop him from being a comedic genius and just a genius in general.
Amazing how Sean completely reversed Bob's expectations of this interview. I could tell from the beginning he wasn't feeling the vibe and was probably expecting some cookie cutter interview with only questions relating to the Breaking Bad universe. What an absolutely brilliant and joyful interaction here.
Bob is honestly a very humble person that truely is just here for the ride and for the fun. I can respect that.
One of the most underrated actors of our time. The range of that guy. Wow!
This man deserves so much more recognition in his industry, he is one of the real greats
HOW DOES EACH EPISODE KEEP GETTING BETTER?? OH MY GOODNESS
How are you everywhere?
dude are you an ai
Mid channel
Downvoted for all-caps.
to top this he needs to have Brendan Fraser on!
Aside from the fact that he just BOSSED all those hot sauce like a champ, anything this guy is in I’m watching it. He’s an amazing actor. It’s literally because of him that I finally caved and watched Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.
This dude has some great interview questions and Bobs charisma is awesome. So happy this interview happened.
Man, I feel like comedians are the most sad but most joyful people on the planet and we are so lucky to have them and bring us all together and laugh no matter our differences at the end of the day!
God I love this man. First saw him in breaking bad, and I've watched all of his work since. This dude is a fantastic actor
Woah, I haven't watched this show in a long time now. Sean is an extremely talented interviewer.
Bob writing poetry with his little kids and publishing them with his grown kids is just the sweetest thing. Gold medal for this dad.
I call myself an athiest, but i would pray to god everyday if i get to see one of these days with my kids one day.
ok
*Platinum Medal!
What an interview! Top 10 ever, for me. Him saying that acting on stage at Second City with Chris Farley was the best time he ever had in showbiz brought tears to my eyes. Legends!
Bob is one of those people that is truly good, wish him all the best
You know him personally?
It’s crazy to see a character from a tv show then actually see the actor true self really gives you a perspective how good they are at acting.
Every episode, I'm blown away with how good interviewer Sean is! Always well prepared, asking relevant and interesting questions that often take them off guard but never offend or shame them in any way. One of the best interviewers there is!
i recently became a fan of bob because his acting blew me away on BCS. listened to a few of his interviews out of curiosity and he’s so intelligent, it’s refreshing
Bob Odenkirk is proof your peak can happen at any age, keep on pushing and bettering yourself and the rest will follow!
Him and Michelle Yoeh! It’s a great time to be an older actor
WHAT? hes young (according to me!) LOL....
& GianCarlo Esposito.
Also, Alan Rickman landed Die Hard (his first big movie role) when he was 42! There are lots of great folks who made it later in life!
Online preachers and their motivational BS everywhere
From Mr. Show to writing children's books...what a legend.
I can't begin to put into words how thankful I am for this interview/episode. Odenkirk is a genius and always has been!
I had no idea Bob Odenkirk wrote the script for Chris Farley as the motivational speaker! That’s so cool! I’m a huge Bob Odenkirk fan! Super glad you were able to get him on an episode of hot ones!! Thanks for this video!! Was definitely a great one!!!!
Bob is as brave as he says everyone should be. He's a great actor hiding and fighting the spices.
I love the fact that Bob heard about how good Sean as an interviewer and the show is also a good talk show. These words of mouths from the celebrities are the best promo
He most likely heard from Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, since they've both been on the show
@Elias Winston Aaron hasn't
I like how people think celebrities only talk to other celebrities and there's no way a normal person may have told him about the interviews
@Elias Winston what secret Aaron Paul ep did you watch
@Elias Winston I think you’re misremembering when Cranston did the show with James Franco.
Odenkirk’s old pal David Cross also did Hot Ones, though, so it may have gotten his blessing.
This guy is literally walking people through a semi-psychedelic experience.
He is The HotSauce Shaman. :)
I remember seeing the first episodes of Hot Ones and thought it was an interesting take on interviews, but I never thought that Sean would turn out to be such gifted interviewer. He seems to me that he is to interviewing what Anthony Bourdain was to storytelling. And that to me is the greatest compliment.
I love when actors do hot ones. It’s nice to see their real emotion and know it’s truly authentic. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Jimmy McGill as stressed as he was after eating da bomb 😂
Bob is such an underrated actor, he should have won more awards with Better Call Saul. I'm glad he got a hot ones ep, now get Brendan Fraser! 🙏
Last thing that guy needs is more wings
Brendan Fraser would be such an amazing guest for hot ones!!! EVERYONE MANIFEST IT SO IT CAN BE REAL !!!!
@Tony Dogs You do realize that he's not actually obese, right?
@Tony Dogs bro saw one clip from the whale
@iamthagreatone He's gained a lot of weight since he was in The Mummy.
Bob cracked me up the entire time like he always does, but I have to hand it to Sean for that response to Bob's call back line about being responsible: "Whoa! But that Last Dab thing, There's nothing responsible about that!
I am utterly in love with Bob Odenkirk.
Also, can you imagine Robin Williams doing an episode of Hot Ones? If only...
Man, Lucky Hank is such a good show, and Bob's performance is the icing on the cake.
I love Bob, always have as an Actor and a writer, he is the best. But I have to add Sean and his team do such a wonderful job of coming up with really great questions. This is become my favorite weeknight show and I have only seen maybe 6 of them!
Bob is just such a likeable guy
Indeed
Not during the intro he’s not. Tries to disarm the entire premise of the show. Annoying
@Dave B ????
@Dave B captain bring down saving the day
Incredibly deep, smart and serious guy. Enjoyed every second of that
One of my favorite actors, great episode.
This was another amazing show, He was taking big bites he wasn’t playing around someone that’s not a real spice guy man he handled it like a pro serious nice job great show
They didn’t show him eating some of them and he had no reaction. I’m thinking he nibbled some tbh.
Wow. I didn’t know Bob wrote the “van down by the river” sketch. What a legend.
I don't really get vicarious affection for celebrities as a general rule, even ones that have written pieces of music that are close to my heart. But I dare say, I adore Bob Odenkirk. Everything that features him, I swear. I'm planning to buy that book when it comes out. What gold, honestly.
Everyone thinks of him as an actor now, but this is one of the greatest comedy writers of our generation
Mr show was how I became aware of him so many years ago. Absolutely brilliant with David cross.
Also pretty much singlehandedly put on Tim and Eric which revolutionized alt comedy forever. possibly one of the most important humans in comedy
what did he write?
@Lukas Rølle Attermann comedy
I appreciated all the musical transitions and vibe shifts in this.
The sound effects are always top class.
Superb production and hosting. This is a masterclass of refinement, but still having fun with it.
What mics are you using on the guests??
Never gonna get an answer but thought I’d try anyway.
Bob’s love for Chris Farley is so genuine. As soon as Sean mentions his name he starts smiling.
Bob is such a legend in the industry and took those wings on like a champion. But can we please also give props to the camera guy Bill and the top tier editing.
I feel like bob is one of the people you can talk to forever
Sean is so genuine as a fan & host. So thoughtful in these like complex multi layered questions to the guests. Very cool. I loved some of Odenkirks insights to the characters he’s played and directed also. I think sauls story was masterful in the way he kind of back engineered the breaking bad storyline in BCS as one of the most important parts of the saga & possibly the best sense of closure we get out of it all! Great episode guys.
To be honest, Bob Odenkirk should’ve won lots of awards for Better Call Saul, this man is a gem.
For sure. Funny, tragic, not a good guy, but somehow feeling redeemable. Nuanced. Such a good character. Also, several other people in the cast too. Seehorn was brilliant.
and Rhea Seehorn!
Rhea was brilliant as well. Bob seems like just an awesome dude who def should have won awards. Like Tatiana Maslany where you go how the f did you not win every award
I have a hard time not seeing Saul, but Bob's irl personality is so different it's off-putting. Such an incredibly talented actor.
Idk what to say honestly. I’ve only known him for Saul Goodman. And I absolutely love him for who he really is and I would support this man any way I could
Words will never describe how much I love Bob Odenkirk
I have just finished binging Better Call Saul and I can say that this could not come at a better time.
His love for Chris Farley hits me right in the feels❤
Perfect timing this interview came out the same day I finally finished Better call saul, probably one of my favourite shows now and 100% my fav tv show character
This was such a great episode. Love Bob, cool learning so many new things about his life.
Bob is such a humble dude. There's a lot of actors who have too much ego/pride to be an actual human being. S/O to Mr. Odenkirk
Felt like you could see Bob's love for comedy so clearly when he ended with the word "joy" on the last question 🥲And another great set of questions from Sean!
Can we appreciate Sean not talking about Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul and only talking about Bob's underrated works.
Well, there was one whole wing about the toughness of playing Jimmy/Saul, but I get your point.
He asks a question about Better Call Saul
Underrated and under appreciated for a reason. Thank God he didn't stay with Comedy lol
@TD B He’s good at comedy and Mr Show was really popular.
@TD B he’s a really good comedy writer. His dramatic acting is better though
The people that have no clue about the show have the most fun in the end , because they are the most surprised by how good of an interviewer Sean is and how much fun the entire process is.
What I love about hot ones is the interviews are filled with a lot of respect. It isn't filled with lowball questions but questions that really gives you insight into the people we as a society put on pedestals.
I'd definitely love to see the three hosts from the grand tour on here though.
Bob is so awesome and Sean brought the interview as always. There were 3 times I stopped the video to "like" it to find out I already have.
I love Bob Odenkirk. Can't wait to be on this show someday. :) fingers crossed.
I loved how passionate he was about the poems book written & illustrated with his children at the end. I can't wait for ZILOT! It sounds like an amazing work from the heart, and soooo fun for kids!!!
Dude took it so well I’ve never seen anything like it
Bob deserves more awards lol. He's been great for a long time.
He's my favorite actor of all time and he took those wings like a champ. It's beautiful he wrote a book with his daughter
I like Breaking Bad better than Better Call Saul overall, but I cared WAY more about Saul than I ever did about Walt, and a large part of that is because of Bob and what he brought to the character. The writers knocked every character out of the park, but Bob has such a charisma that is so unique to him and is super earnest about both writing and acting that he elevates every role he touches. Looking forward to episode two of Lucky Hank and really enjoyed this interview!
Sean does an incredible job of (pleasantly) surprising his A-list guests. He catches them off guard and gets them to open up and share parts of themselves we don't often get to see. His skills as an interviewer are why we keep coming back, but he keeps it all cleverly hidden behind the spicy-wing-eating challenge and the heavyweight guest list. Hats off to you, First We Feast!
The way I see this show is exactly how Borat or Nathan Fielder operate, he lures them in with a bait and switch in a reverse prank format, and they are thoroughly entertained in the end.
Sean is legit
One of the most wholesome interviews of all time, love it, love bob.
On the last one I loved how he said why are you opening it. 😂 I know he was being funny but he did it with such a straight and serious face made me laugh so hard. He did a really good job. He actually looked pretty composed. I love his work.
Such a great guy and an incredible talent!
This was an excellent interview! He seems very thoughtful.
I'd love to have a drink and just talk to Bob, he's just a great actor and just seems like a great guy
Bob is a Gem 💎
Bob is the man, a truly multi-talented and hilarious person
he is very capable of talking while under heat!
this guy should work as a lawyer or something
This is one of the few good shows these days. Respectful, kind in the edits, consistent and warm. Or hot. Love your work. Great crew and great host. A delicate balance to achieve this. Well done ❤
It's about time we bring in a "guest" that prepares an interview for Sean so we get to see him in the guest seat
His acting for "Better Call Saul" is just as good as Brian Cranston in "Breaking Bad"
