Who are Kara and Nate?!
Watch our documentary here: • 100th COUNTRY DOC...
Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment. We discovered the world of “travel hacking” & became obsessed. So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world. Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went home to “normal life.” We started this travel vlog to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with this lifestyle and did everything we could to keep going. 4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time. Van life was a major adjustment and so different than flying every week like we were used to, but we are incredibly thankful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎

As an open water swimmer, I feel like it’s really important for everyone to realize that Kara and Nate were able to do that without swim training because (a) they are super fit and experienced with facing intense physical and endurance challenges and (b) they had a safety team entirely focused on them who continually coached them all the way to the beach. I say this because every year there are an awful lot of underprepared swimmers who attempt the Alcatraz swim in big races or group swims who need rescuing. If you cannot go into this in the same conditions as you just saw in this video, don’t give up on ever doing the swim but definitely postpone and TRAIN first.
Now imagine how the men from the prison did this and how desperate they must’ve been to escape. No training, no wetsuits and probably poor nutritional diet for the duration of their stay in the prison.
Insane
This should be the top comment
Why not try it with flippers first ? But...awesome episode. Plus,I'd backstroke/float to catch my breath...that's how I passed my scuba test(long time ago).
Ditto this. Also not shown: when you swim in a large event, there is the additional chaos of hundreds of other bodies churning up the water around you or even swimming over you. One year, we swam through a school of jellyfish and a few people around me got stung and panicked. Thank goodness for the kayakers. Nothing beats that moment of calm before the start though when you're bobbing up and down off Alcatraz with the GG Bridge in the distance. What a feeling. :)
Kudos! :) Thanks for noticing and commenting about this. We were the pilots and escorts for Kara and Nate's swim. I should point out that earlier this year we put together a prep plan for Kara and Nate, which included a practice swim, etc. Due to their schedule, it did not work as planned, but since we had angel swimmers and we shifted the date to a day when the ebb (current) was lighter, conditions were such that we felt we had a good chance for their attempt to be a success. The safety of swimmers is absolutely paramount to us, and with 18+ years of San Francisco open water experience, we managed things pretty tightly. Our large group swims here definitely have much to be desired, which is why we only offer small groups/solo swims and vet all of our swimmers before taking them out. Training and preparation are also very important, as you point out. Our thanks go out to Nate and Kara for listening to our request that safety be a priority in this video. We all have a responsibility to keep open water swimming safe and enjoyable. Thanks again! Enjoy!
Can we just realize that two persons are in there without the swimsuit, already smiling and filming while they are swimming and they keep doing that the whole time. I mean... the real heroes :)
The water is so cold I just don’t understand
Most people would not make it
This is the comment I was in search of
Man this was cool! Bucket list
Definitely not. Sharks out there make it not so fun idea. Even that the chances of getting bit are low. They still higher than staying tf outta there
Those guys who escaped definitely made it on adrenaline. It looked far easier than I had previously thought.
Yea also there's no way they got all that way past all those hurdles to just dies there. They knew what they was facing and was prepared, they weren't idiots
Good assertion . Also I'm assuming they escaped & swam obviously in the nighttime...
As soon as everyone started to cheer you on I started crying. I literally cried. You guys have build such an amazing support system around you ! You’re both are truly amazing and I can never explain how much I look up to you both.💗 Thank you for sharing both your ups and downs, you make me want to persevere hard and love harder!
I don’t even watch their channel religiously it just popped up and I was crying too. Lol I was so confused glad I wasn’t the only one
MEEEE, too!!!
Abby cried too!
Cried pretty hard lol
Me toooooo
The memories of this life you guys are creating is just incredible. I love everything you guys are doing and its truly inspiring. Running my first NYC marathon in 2023 because of Nate! I am just so happy to know you both, even if its from the screen.
As a Bay Area native it’s hard to express how insane this is. The SF Bay is such a beast! Amazing job you two. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I am too and could never do this swim!
Amen Zak. The current and choppy waves around the island get crazy at times.
I couldn’t agree more. I have lived in the SF Bay Area my entire life. I am aware of the swim club but have not once wanted to swim in the SF Bay. I would rather motor or sail in the SF Bay . You amazingly well!
Seriously. I put my feet in the water and felt like dying. Can’t imagine swimming in it. Grant it, it was February but seasons don’t seem to matter there.
OMG! Yes, I can't believe it. That bay is no joke.
As an professional open water swimmer, i gotta say they did amazing! Doing this distance in that time is mind blowing for me if you dont train for it. Moreover i feel like a lot of people who are doing that are underestimating the salty water and the temperature, because even if you are moving your hands will go numb after some time and if you panic in that stage during the swim you will be in mortal danger.
Lets be honest, we never really saw them doing the whole swim. It was edited into a 6 minute clip. Did they really do it without hopping onto the boat for a breather & warm-up?
@Gus seriously? Why assume the worst with no shred of evidence, when they’ve proven themselves in physical challenges time and time again? And you can clearly see the gradual procession towards shore in all the clips.
@Luna Violetta Seriously? Why assume they have done it without a single shed of evidence? All i see is a 6 minute edited clip.
@Gus lol I see you lack common sense 😂 you can see them gradually approaching shore in all of the clips. Are you insinuating they got back on the boat for like 10 seconds between each of those shots and jumped back in? Lmao that would be much harder to get back in the water every time. Kara even said she won’t get back in the water if she’s getting on the boat. Also, this company specifically specializes in helping people swim from Alcatraz to SF. I doubt they’d have them keep getting on off on off their boat.
@Luna Violetta
I may lack common sense, but at least my grammar is readable.
It is not easy trying to decipher what you type, but I will give it a shot.
My understanding is, you have no idea how editing works on a video?
My understanding is, you believe everything you see and hear. Without question.
My understanding is, you cannot swim.
My understanding is, you are what i call a mark.
Happy to help.
some of the nicest; genuine and most humble people ive ever seen; proud of yall for accomplishing the swim; well deserved. their reaction to the swim afterwards was legendary haha.
While visiting Alcatraz we watched a Great White Shark consume a California Sea Lion less than 10 yards from the shore line of the island. My fear would not be the cold water, wind, or even the current. Im glad the swimmers made it safely!
yep, a total no go swim zone - more than a yikes! hopefully, the guy in the boat had some type of sonar monitoring for large moving objects in the water? grew up on the west coast and have seen more sharks off the coast while sailing than I can count. Love Kara and Nate; so glad they made it safely to shore in very cold dark pacific waters.
As someone who swims in the san fransisco bay around 20-30 times a year, towards September when the water is warm and if you hit a nice day where the water is still it's such an amazing experience. Being able to take off your goggles and look around and the view while treading out in the middle of a vast bay is so incredible.
Sharks?
When I workout @the gym, I always think about how you both have such drive & determination and that helps me finish no matter how tired I am. Thank you both for that. ❤
Yeewwww!
Been waiting for this one. Murky water, claustrophobic wetsuits, hypothermia!
(in French accent) Incredable’
Cheers to La Vagabonde! Oui Oui!
“Incroyable”
why did this make me cry?? I'm so proud of you two! you're so inspiring!
NOT THAT HARD TO DO
@lee lunkfor a lot of people, it is
As a 55th birthday challenge, I swam a mile and a half in open water in the Caribbean. The only difference was the water temperature was 76° Congrats guys.
Also, no white sharks in the caribbean
@Martin Berger do they get tigers or na
That was so incredibly amazing to watch!!! So proud of your resilience and drive to keep going.
You guys are amazing, don't you ever stop enjoying this process and the people you're bringing along. We're all rooting for you! ❤❤❤
You guys are beasts! As a former competitive swimmer, hats off to y’all
As someone who has done an Ironman I can not explain to you guys how rough and difficult this is. So glad you guys had people with you I was terrified you were doing it alone. Always better to overcome your fears so love that you did this! Now that you did this Nate you have to do an ironman bro! Would love to train you free of charge just hit me up!
👏🏽👏🏽 would love to see them do iron man!
Train me free of charge please
Bay Area native and I have swam since I was 5 years old. I know people who have done the Escape From Alcatraz swim, but the cold water / current scares the crap outta me. Even when I was in my best swimming shape, I had no desire to do that lol. Major kudos to you for facing your fears, making swimmers like me feel like a WIMP. So happy you got to visit our city... come back again and see the other great things this city has to offer!!
I just watched it today, and I found myself cheering them on. I also cried a bit as they got closer to the shore. Well done Kara and Nate, I am so proud of you.
I swam at santa Cruz Boardwalk beach that ocean 🌊 water was cold..I didn't wear a wet suit i got out in about 10 minute anymore I get hypothermia
I cried when Kara hit the beach and honestly I think these are my favorite videos of theirs. When they are faced with a big challenge, and they overcome it every time. The world needs this right now. Thank y’all💗
I live in the bavarian countryside. We have no large bodies of water around, especially no salt water. Only small, freshwater lakes where you can always clearly see the other side. This swim activates all my warning instincts about water and raises the hair on my neck.
Just imagine the pressure, if you had to do this swim without a swimsuit, in the middle of the night and with the law after you. What a nightmare.
What a special experience! I am so proud of you both. I wish I could’ve been there to cheer you on! What an awesome way to finish your swim! I love you both! Thank you for sharing this awesome experience with us ❤️
As a competitive swimmer, when Nate asked if the ears went in or out of the swim cap, I am severely happy that Kara corrected him.
I know right? So funny.. wouldn’t a dry suit have been better?
One he got on the boat, we straightened out all of those questions! Lol.
Just found this channel yesterday & I’ve been glued to you guys videos since. I feel like I’m watching a more personal travel channel show. Amazing work on the challenges you guys do. You guys are crazy strong and fit and I’m astonished at how you guys do these challenges even as first timers! Love love love the editing on these videos as well. Sending so much love! Keep it up!
What an unbelievable achievement guys. Outstanding work!! Looks so hard! Hat off to you both 🙌🏼💪🏽
I love your videos! Congrats Kara and Nate on swimming this very difficult journey!
This is seems to be a wild experience. Congrats to both of you! 🍾🎉
I’m not sure it’s an “irrational” fear - swimming in deep, dark, murky waters with strong currents and sharks. Seems rather reasonable to have concerns. Also important to be fit and have support as others have commented. But good on you both for doing something so challenging! But maybe don’t do it again says the mom in me;)
I consider myself a pretty great swimmer, the fact that these two did this challenge with very minimal preparation/training is very impressive to me.
The waves pulling you back, the cold water, exhaustion, the adrenaline etc. Respect Kara and Nate and congratulations on this achievement!
Seriously! and the pacific ocean is no joke, I've gotten pulled by those currents and it's terrifying. What they just did is super impressive.
yes, very impressive
Just because they did it don’t mean you can 😃
As a triathlete (*IM) I'm not sure I'd even swim that swim. For 2 two person's with very little swim training, this is a truly amazing feat. One to be so so proud of. It's inspiring for sure.
staged edited
As an experienced triathlete, this is not an easy task. It's more than just the physical training, it's also being mentally prepared and ready for this type of challenge. In the past, I've completed multiple triathlons, including a triathlon in the San Francisco bay (open water) but have always been hesitant to do the Alcatraz swim. Kudos to you guys
This must have been very exhausting and challenging!! Im so proud of you guys.
I thought after your stint on the island, this would be a piece of cake! I kept wrapping my blankie tighter around me coz I was freezing just watching you!! Good job, crazy people!
Seeing you get to shore made me tear up. What an accomplishment! I personally could never do that
I love that Kara made it to the beach first. And how sweet of local fans to show up on the landing to cheer you on. That made me teary. You all are alone so much of your travels.
Coming from a swimmer: Nate & Kara did amazing! When your swimming, your alone with just you, and your thoughts. Which might not be a good thing in some cases. Overcoming their fears and negativity was a great accomplishment in this case, Great job Nate and Kara! P.s. I do not recommend anyone just going and trying this unless you are VERY fit or trained in swimming long distances! 🎉
You guys are incredible! Watching this makes me think about all of the amazing things my body is capable of and that challenging yourself is so important
Congratulations Nate and Kara, you did it!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I was holding my breath when you werein the water. For me, the worst part is that I have that same fear of things that hide in depp, dark water. Just for that reason, I don't think I'd voluntarily try it. Well done, this was a great challenge. A shout out to the amazing support team beside you guys, they did a wonderful job of encouraging you and keeping you safe at all times.
honestly brought to tears by how incredible this video was. you guys are awesome!
When Kara reach to the shore, I have to admit I have tears coming out my eyes. lol
I know this is a very difficult challenge, but seeing the people there to support you all and you two finally make it to the shore, you did it!! Glad you guys didn’t die on us. lol
I cried so hard when I heard the cheering! 😭
i was crying too!
oh no! i thought it's just me 😭
You two are amazing! I was crying with Kara when I heard the cheers of the people on the beach! Keep thriving! Travel on! And May God continue to bless you both on all your adventures!
For me who often gets up at 4.30am to swim miles before school in cold, open water this looks easy but, for people who have very little open water experience this is a massive challenedge and they did really well to eachieve this! keap up the good work guys. ❤
I'm a long distance swimmer as well but I used to do it in lakes. I did however get advanced certification for SCUBA in the bay area water so I know how cold it is..
idk why but this brought me to tears LOL having lived here for almost 30 years (born and raised), i've never set foot on alcatraz. great video guys, and congrats on the extraordinary feat!
That's a life-changing accomplishment, one that I'd love to do! I went there in 2012 with my parents but never thought anyone with a boat could make that happen. The bay really didn't look that far from Alcatraz, it seemed doable but only those who've done it can tell what's like to attempt it. Good job.
I love you guys. You are a wonderful team. Can't wait to see what comes next.
Awe I teared up hearing the group cheering and seeing yall finish!!! 😊💞 so proud of you guys for conquering fears!!! 👍🏼👏🏼💪🏼
I'd love to be Leanne.Host is my idol. Hes the person I aspire to be, hes my light of day
Omg, me too 😂
It's a tad unfortunate this is currently the top comment. Spoiler alert!
Sweet comment though.
Me too! 🥲 Well done, Kara and Nate! 🎉💥
Me too!!! ❤️❤️❤️
This couldn’t have been posted at a better time. We had our first swim team practice tonight and felt about the same way! Hahaha. Minus the extreme temperatures of course, but we had fun watching this vlog 😊😊😊😊
I was tearing up (with pride) for you two. You are so brave and adventuresome.
This was EPIC! You guys inspire us to get out there and do something that scares us!! We just started full time van life and you guys were a huge inspo!!! ♥️
I caught myself not breathing towards the half point anticipating your finish line. You guys are nuts but inspirational. Congrats that’s is a huge accomplishment.
Wow that debriefing in the hotel was awesome. I was crying when Kara said she couldn't feel her face from the cold and her face expression was priceless. Amazing swim, congratulations 🎊 👏
Hi guys. I’ve watched you since 2016. I have to say I hear you in my head every day. I’m going through some pretty tough medicinal stuff right now and I keep hearing you both say “ You can do hard things”. It is your videos that are getting me through. Now I am picturing myself travelling the world for the first time after I am well and will have you both to thank for that. Sending all the love❤️❤️
I'd love to be Leanne.Host is my idol. Hes the person I aspire to be, hes my light of day
You're gonna do it, Melissa. I just subscribed to your channel so that I can see your travel videos once you are well.
You can do it Melissa!!! I subscribed to your channel as well. Can not wait for you to travel the world, because you will!!!!
Have you read Glennon Doyle's book, Untamed? That's where that saying comes from.
Melissa, you've got this girl! You are strong and you can do everything you put your mind into. You'll get better and you'll enjoy the amazing things this world has to offer! We're with you
WOW you guys are just EPIC. You make me want to go out there in the world and live life to the fullest. Thank you x
Oh I’m sooooo sad! I have been watching you two almost every day for two years, and I have finally caught up with you! When travel was put on hold in 2020, my brother introduced me to this channel, and I fell in love!
My husband and are N O V I C E travel bloggers, and the two of you remind me so much of us. You are so inspiring, and I often refer to you when telling stories like we are close friends 😅.
I am sad I don’t get to binge y’all everyday, but I am glad I can watch IG stories without ruining what I am up to watch next 🤣.
Thank you for taking a chance on yourselves all those years ago!!
These are always so inspirational!! These videos make me want to go out and do my own (smaller scale) adventures! Now I just need to convince my partner to join me 😂
Congratulations Kara and Nate! Y’all earned it!
What a fun video! Years ago I did the Alcatraz Triathlon and I can tell you; swimming with a bunch of motivated athletes makes the swim easier. At least it did for me.
I love how every time y’all do a physical challenge you’re always so nervous and not prepared like, at all, lol but you always finish strong and never quit! And you’re always so proud and glad you did it. So fun to watch AND inspiring!
I normally don’t cry in front of UAclips but you making it to that beach had me in tears 😭 What a beautiful moment! Well done to everyone involved!
Well done Kara and Nate, I cant believe that your support swimmers did not have on a wet suit. Just watching you swim in those waves almost made me sea sick 🤕. So nice to have supporters cheer you on.
with out you guys I wouldn't be as grateful as I am right now ever since I started watching you guys each week or every 2 weeks you guys have helped me through everything when I grew up I want to be an Olympian skier
Just want to say that guys did great. I’ve done that swim before and it’s not EASY. Congrats to you both.
Omg!!! what an adventure that is I am all teary I feel so PROUD of you Kara & Nate
it looked really hard, scary and soo cold. But you guys did it!!! I loved watching this
journey. You have another subscriber Love Australia xx
Having been to Alcatraz, this swim seems crazy hard. Especially with the temperature of the water and all the waves hitting you in the face. You guys did an amazing job! I have not clicked on one of your video's faster then this one because it was somewhere i have actually been. Love you guys.
I dont know how to swim. U think using floaties counts completing this challenge
It's not that hard if you train for it. Thousands of people can't be wrong.
@Cheryl Palen i hope dolphins will help me
@cupid ok no dolphins sighted in the ten times I have crossed...seals though!
@Cheryl Palen where there's seals there's shark... this is scary
Soooo proud of you two!!! 👏 Congratulations and the wine in Napa is the best reward for your hard work! Cheers!🍷
You are both warriors. That was amazing and I for one could tell from the ferry ride that I would've died in that water. Super impressive and you've got a new fan.
What an achievement you guys!! Loved every minute of it 😍🤩
Abby started crying when the people started cheering y'all. Also super impressed by the challenges y'all do. great job!
You two are amazing! Congrats on your accomplishments! As always I'm a big fan of your channel and enjoy watching your new videos when you post :)
FUN FACT: I learnt this when visiting Alcatraz... prisoners got hot showers (it was one of the very few or even the only prison that did this) so the difference between the water temperature of the shower and the temperature of the bay would be greater. This made it even harder for them to make that deadly swim!
It's so interesting how many of Nate's dreams/fears this couple fulfills. But like, just Nate's.
@cnmmd qiuoo very strange indeed
DEADLY??? I HAVE TO SWIM THAT TODAY
@urmom g really?
@dman YEAH AND IM TERRIFYED im doing it with my friends my parents are like "dont you think your too young" and i was like "yeah"
Wow, that is an incredibly difficult place to swim (or paddle a kayak) Very impressive. And yes, there are plenty of sharks in the bay.
I have competed in 5 Ironman Triathlons and this race is on my bucket list. I'm certain the swim is as brutal as everyone says it is. An ocean swim is tough and I did so at Ironman Floriday and Ironman Cozumel.
Congratulations you too for doing that swim that was definitely one of the craziest things I've ever seen but you guys did it congratulations from me I know that was hard for you guys but you guys did it I'm so proud of you both this is something I'll definitely never forget you guys did an absolutely great job you did something not many people did and I am very impressed by it well done keep up the great work have a good day stay safe God bless and help you see you guys soon
I broke both my ankles this week, and unfortunatley can't walk for 2 months. So have been filling my days with lots of UAclips. I just want to say that your videos make me so happy, and make me hopefull for future adventures! So thank you for your videos, they fill me with so much joy, you both seem like wonderful people!
Wow. Incredible. Great job guys. What an experience. Y’all are insane though lol 😂
My uncle does channel swimming. He swam from Southampton UK all the way to Calais in France. It took him 6 hours non stop. He does this every year and also did this once while fighting cancer.
Most of all he did it for the Cancer trust UK.
*Proud of you guys* xoxo
I'd love to be Leanne.Host is my idol. Hes the person I aspire to be, hes my light of day
What an amazing Uncle you have. You must be so proud x
@Nomad Mum I am incredibly proud of him. He is free of cancer now & he's actually planning on doing another Channel swim again very soon 🙏
I'm so amazed by you guys, I wish I could do half these things. Also, Kara is a beast!!
Wow so much courage I’ve taken a excursion there I don’t think I would be as brave to do what u guys did so proud of you guys . Love your relationship I feel it brings you guys closer . Great job and he faced his Goliath Congrats so happy for you God bless you thanks for sharing this moment with us
But sorry I have to ask I still wonder what happened to those prisoners who escaped every conspiracy I’ve watched guesses sharks but wonder if at least one got away 🤷♀️😅
Geat stuff, I love San Fran - I was lucky to do a Triathlon there called Escape From Alcatraz - was an amazing feeling swimming the same course you guys did. We swim all year around in Melbourne Australia in the bay. Temps go from 7-9c to 24c
That was Incredible, what stamina,drive,determination... Much Respect !!
My uncle told us that we could theoretically walk across a lake to another island which was about a quarter mile! We ended up swimming the whole thing and I did struggle even as an experienced swimmer so you all are great!
We literally held our breath the entire time while watching this! You guys never cease to amaze us! Always leaping beyond your comfort zones and making the impossible look like so much fun!! Your energy is unmatched!!!❤
I'd love to be Leanne.Host is my idol. Hes the person I aspire to be, hes my light of day
I would have never done that it’s my biggest fear.
So true😌🙏😽❤
how did you make it holding ur breath? secrets please lol
They always told me about that swim that you don't have to worry about sharks because the salinity of the water is such that they don't come to the surface. They all stay a lot deeper where you swim. Comforting!
So inspiring and the love from everyone and support is amazing!! Love you guys ❤️💪🏼
My wife has made this swim during the Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon. She said, it was fun and wasn’t that bad. Check out the ice miler. Those people are crazy.
That was awesome!!! Very very motivated couple!! Always down to take a challenge I love it!
This brought me way back to when I was a teenager (back in the 90’s before internet) and I wanted to be on the swim team so bad, but we couldn’t afford swim lessons. So I read the encyclopedia that explained and showed pictures of how to do the different strokes and I won first place on my first meet! Never underestimate the power of what we are capable of doing if we set our minds to it!
This is amazing! I signed up for swim lessons since one of my goals for myself is to learn to swim (and I finally got over the embarrassment of learning to swim as an adult) and I’m kind of nervous, but if you guys can conquer swimming from ALCATRAZ I’m sure I can conquer the local pool 💪🏿 Love your videos! 💕
Love to hear that you're getting into swimming... Kudos!! Once you gain some confidence, head out this way and let's get you swimming open water -- maybe even your own Alcatraz Escape!!
It's never embarrassing to learn a skill that could easily save your life one day.
I am 39 yet I don’t know how swim. I want to learn before I die:)
@urlocalasian Never too late!
congratulations! so happy for you! have a great time swimming in the pool. ❤️
My pond was the Indian Ocean. Swimming in an ocean is kind of like paddling up stream on a raging river. But the prisoners didn't have wet suits, goggles or a chase boat. Good job.
They had the highest level of motivation!
So do you think most of prisoners that attempted swim were successful?
This video confirms my belief that the prisoners who escaped Alcatraz made it to the shore alive! They were allegedly strong swimmers prior to being prisoners, so I'm quite confident they made it. Wild. Anyways, congratulations on this massive accomplishment! I almost had an asthma attack watching y'all. My lungs could NOT handle this. You must feel incredibly proud!
Good job guys, as a surfer & played water pole swimming and lifeguardingy whole life that's a feet to accomplish 🤘🏻
You two are so brave!! wow! Amazing!
I lost it at 17:40 😭 So proud of you guys, and I can't wait to see your Napa Valley adventures!
Everyone cheering for you guys made me tear up. so so sweet!!
I was literally going to type this!! I was tearing up so much
My grandfather spent some time as a prisoner in Alcatraz. I would love to go one day to see his cell and how he lived. Btw, my kids love watching your adventures! Thank you for providing wholesome content for the whole family!
100% agree on the quality clean content!
I have lived in the bay area for 48 years and finally made it to Alcatraz last year. It’s a great tour. You need to go!!
some gpa! what crime?
@sackett family His crime was going MIA followed by hijacking a car and kidnapping. All this to get home to his pregnant wife! He ended up in Leavenworth, but he tried to escape, so they sent him to Alcatraz.
@karaandnate Kara and Nate if you see this comment; please describe how hard it was to get warm after you got out of the water. What did you do to recover from the cold when you finished? I was interested in hearing about that part of the journey. Did you take a hot bath? Or take a tepid shower? Did you get lots of warm blankets and heating devices? How did you warm back up again? Thanks!💜
your videos just keeps getting better and better!!!!!! ❤️
Well done!!!..so proud of you both!!
