- We are going to infantry positions of the 28th Brigade by tracked infantry fighting vehicle. It's too far on foot, and an ordinary off-road vehicle won't get there.
"When we get there, we have to quickly jump out and run to the dugout because they try to shell us when they see our IFV," the soldiers tell us as they get into the vehicle.
The infantrymen have been living in the trenches in Donetsk region for several months now. The most important thing in their work is not to stop digging and improving the trenches.
"After we dug in, we have almost no KIA and WIA'," says the unit commander.

i am so impressed by the journalism and output of hromadske. especially the longer doc pieces that go more in depth.... you have really succeeded in giving a human face to the soldiers. i would love to see some coverage of the people living near to the front and in the the cities. the situation for older women who have stayed must be very hard right now? i understand that the eastern side has many that sympathized with russia. but what about now? no matter what, thank you! i trust your storytelling more than the big network sources.
