And seriously, singing isn't just about singing the notes. The words and pronunciation are just as important. Think about all the famous operas. So for hundreds of years singers sind a different languages

It's amazing the variance from the older man with a young man's sound to the 12 year old with the voice of a grown woman.
I can’t even explain how impressive the screamo girl was. It’s so hard to sing well like that. So incredibly hard to have great pitch and not hurt your throat at the same time. Not enough credit givin to this woman

dude i agreed with your comment until you said "And 12 years old?!?!" i feel that was a bit baised. i think level of talent shouldn't be based on age. many people see an adult singing and they go "well thats good soso, decent etc" when they see a child they immediately see it as so much more amazing. this is coming from a 12 yr old stating my opinion

I don't care about your race, ethnicity, gender, age or country, what I care about is how your voice can change the worldview and sing from your heart to connect and bring joy to others in the world. That's why I prefer this kind of blind audition because you won't tell anyone apart just by their appearance in first glance

Yeah, that's spot on. It's why the Voice is my fave, because at least it begins honestly.
Edit: now that I think about it, only the masked singer and alter ego are more honest in this way, making judges wait until they'd decided based on skill.

@Alex Blackwood It's a vocal technique. A lot of people who do that do it wrong and damage their voice. She did it with the right part of her voice box/vocal cords. You could tell because of the way she changed her voice. To do it right is very hard...
