I rarely comment on any videos, but I feel like I have to say- Scott and his team are one of the rare few channels (in my humungous list of content creators I subscribe to,) where I have thoroughly enjoyed watching how the production quality, scripting/acting, humor, etc. have developed into something so special since I first subscribed. It has been/is fascinating to watch. Every video gets noticeably better and better. Maybe I am weird, but it takes a lot for me to actually "lol" but these guys work their magic and make it happen. The humor in these videos is exactly my style apparently! I love it, they have nurtured and developed their style into something truly unique and special. Thanks to them for all the hard work!
It reminds me of Family Guy cutscenes, except Scott's are actually funny and not "This reminds Peter of the time he did something"

As part of the Wii U Controller Defence Force, i was ready to jump to it's defenses when this video dropped, but Scott actually represented it quite well here. We can rest easy this time
I will hard defend the layout, it is exceedingly comfortable compared to the 360. Imo, people were just forced into liking that layout due to the ps3 failing for most of its life

The Wii U pro controller stick layout was absolutely perfect for Hyrule warriors, which was basically half of my playtime on the entire system, so I absolutely loved it.

I've actually gotten quite a bit of use out of my Wii U Pro Controller...by connecting it to my computer and running it through a designated program to trick games into thinking it's an Xbox controller. But in terms of being a Xbox controller substitute it works quite well. I'm actually not too put off by the analog controller placements and the buttons feel nice enough. The biggest challenge I encounter is button names. Both A/B and X/Y are swapped. So if a game is using button prompts based exclusively on position I have to swap to a different preset in my sneaky proxy program, and if the game uses both name and position I'm fucked. Regardless, as someone on a budget who happened to have one of these things, it's comfortable and works. It may not be worthy of the title of Pro but it sure is a controller.

The Wii U pro controller is my favorite, it was super comfortable and light and I actually liked the analog stick placement. The vibration was way better than what the gamepad had too.
I actually really liked playing games with the Wii U gamepad and high joysticks. Maybe it depends which configuration you’re most used to? I have a tough time using both low on dualshocks.

As someone who used to play competitive shooters on Xbox all the time the Elite controller 1 & 2 made a HUGE difference when playing games. Being about to turn and look around while consistently using any other the action buttons on the right was a game changer.
Someone who just barely figures out you can turn while using face buttons has never been exposed to the true ancient eldritch knowledge known as claw gripping. Saves you like a hundred dollars too.
@QueuedJar I tried claw grip and hated it lol. I never was able to get used to it. But also the joystick tension and longer joystick made aiming feel soooo much better in games like rainbow six siege. The trigger stops were really good for pistols and the new d-pad is so good for fighting games. This controller is just all around everything I needed lol.
@QueuedJar or even in certain games you can even give yourself easier free mapping buttons with they paddles by binding something important to a useless/less important button (usually a d-pad bind) and then map the paddle to that button.
As a fan of the classic Armored Core games, I know all about the Claw Grip, lol

The 8bit do Ultimate controllers are actually pretty great. They cost about the same as regular controllers but come with a charging doc and back paddles

In Australia the elite controller was $230 with is now about the price of a used switch lite. It was pretty insane.

27:45 This controller seems neat, but I think it would be more fun if it had even more customizability, like relocating the D-pad or ABXY buttons, or easy button switching. A true modular controller just speaks out less for the pros and more for the engineering nerds who want something they can tinker with.
I like the Wii U Pro Controller layout. I could press A/B/X/Y buttons with my thumb while also using the analog stick with my index finger.
