Tim Russet was the best. Broke my heart when he passed away. Big shoes to fill.

I understand the first amendment, but I wish there was a law that forced these cable 'news' networks to put up a banner/disclaimer saying "This isn't a news show, it's an opinion show."......Fox, Cnn, Msnbc etc...

How regrettable…that we have to put up with Chuck Todd for another three months! 😭

Chuck Todd leaving "Meet The Press"? Well, I don't know about anyone else but that's the best news I've heard so far this month!

  • @heathwirt8919

Meet The Press needs a person like Tim Russert that had a moral compass and doesn't fall back on both siding every issue regardless of the facts.

  • @rolandconnor575

I hope he doesn't read most of these comments, but yes Tim Russert was the platinum standard before such biased coverage consumed MSM. Real journalism is dead on these platforms.

Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out, Chuckie.

  • @edwinlipton

Its amazing he's lasted this long! Tim has surely been missed.

  • @MrGruffteddybear

Corporate media doesn't really challenge politicians they rarely ask follow up questions and they all seek profit over really educating the public.

  • @veronicataub8112

I’m saddened by Chuck Todd’s departure. He wasn’t as aggressive as Tim Russet, however he was equally as prepared. God bless you Chuck. I loved watching. Thanks for the memories.

  • @stevebollinger4477

I’m so glad to read these comments, I didn’t realize there were so many other people who shared my thought about what a mockery of a journalist he was, he’s not even a gossip columnist, just a propagandist. She won’t be much better but they will go the same way as bud light and target, the people are starting to realize how corrupt the media and their narratives are.

The Byron Donalds interview was a perfect example of why Chuck was demoted. I watched that clip on UAclips because I haven't watched MTP in years.

  • @ramonacosta2647

That's a long winded way of saying "I got demoted."

Finally some honor and dignity in Meet the Press

  • @theearl1477

I stopped watching this show ages ago because when someone takes a position to only one side of the story it's not journalistic fairness. I can only hope Kristen does a better job.

  • @susanr1306

Tim Russert educated the viewers by pointing out facts. That educated better than anyone can do it. Kristen take note.

  • @donlittle732

I can only hope that Ms. Welker can master the art of the follow up question and pinning down a subject until a question is answered. This is a talent and task that Chuck Todd NEVER managed to master.

  • @mikrod9157

Good for you man as much as its hard to let go cause you’ve been subjected to believe you’re the only one that can do it eventually you realize the only that believes that is yourself I’ve given it my all for my company and they never asked me too but I know now what’s most important hard work is supposed to make you feel good overworked makes you bitter there’s a fine line between the two

  • @judd442009

Chuck Todd's departure is long overdue. Why NBC kept Todd in the anchor chair for so long remains a mystery.

  • @jonathanyoung9369

Chuck Todd doesn't want to cover 4 more years of President Trump, and I can't say I blame him.
