@iFish Frogs yea but that's easier because they're standard. I got C3 Diluc n don't even want him lol. Then again the other side to that coin is I've been playing since Kazuha first banner n it took me until a few months ago to get my first Qiqi 🙃 AND I still don't have a Keqing and only C0 Mona and C1 Jean unfortunately. But the one I wanted least Diluc they keep throwing at me lol. No but good for u if Diluc is your guy cuz he's probably a walking Nuke at C6 fully ascended. Yup me too. Not as hate against Sevy cuz she's my favorite GI UAclipsr of all time, just at the fact that I'll most likely never get them lol but this time is different. This time I am determined to get Scaramouche cons and DEFINITELY Faruzan but that won't be as hard as his cuz I couldn't even get his damb Bell lol. Don't matter tho Widsith is next in line with Lost Prayer and Solar Pearl. U just gotta lab the stats until they fit the weapon u pick. Anyway can't wait for their rerun. Would've whaled on that banner but, y'know, Xmas. I did get C0 Scara and C1 Faruzan. I had the Elegy R2 for months collecting dust not even knowing that it was sentient and waiting for this moment. 😂 ok I'll shut the kuff up now 🤣🤣🤣

I love how it feels to use him. Striking opponents down from above makes one feel so powerful, like a god. His gameplay really fits his character, and that's always nice. I'm so glad he's finally here!

@Haise it's not, in my humble opinion. It does depend on how you wanna play him to a certain degree. If you got Scara's weapon and are meaning to get his full artifact set, you're probably going for a mainly normal attack spamming build, as both his weapon and artifacts increase the speed of his attacks, and his weapon heavily favors the use of those. EVEN on a build like that, 2p glad and 2p VV (my build also) is more than enough. You might get higher numbers with a full set of stellar desert pavilion pieces, but if your glad and VV pieces are already great, you can stick to them. The difference will likely be negligible

Wait... Wanderer's Troupe (offering charged attack bonus) + Dodoco Tales will make him broken.
He would probably be a Xiao replacement using his Elemental Skill over and over.
Remembering the Dodoco Tales boost charged attack % and gives you some elemental damage increase.
I guess this would be a meme build, but quite efficient.
I dare to say, that after the Verdicent set, this build above would be his second best if you use him as a subDPS character.

Yep I expected him to be as challenging to work with as Childe’s E, might be a pattern with future Harbingers ig. But still he’s really fun to play, I don’t regret pulling for him and Childe.
@Haise The new set is worthy if you have C1 or above, otherwise VV set or even Troupe is good enough - or even shimenawa's or shime+glad.
The new set is mandatory for C1 and signature weapon tho

You need to try diona c6, + venti + xinqu. C6 gives 10% speed + 2 anemo gives 10% speeds. Scaramouch got insane with this comps and i satisfied with this team for now

@Drake Voidwalker so good to heard you enjoying the characters. As I read, you had my opinion on consideration, so... Venti will be a good addition to your roster. He's cool and really useful, tho now is not the best Archon available. But you won't be desapointed. And for Eula... Well, I remember I threw everything that I had on her banner and lost the 50/50 and she didn't come home after 140 pulls. So... I played with her on the many trials events so far and... Well, I didn't like her: she felt kinda of slow and her nuke missed a bunch of time. I did not enjoyed her. So... I'm OK not having her. As for Hu Tao, well, she and Ayaka are my top hyper carries, alongside with Itto full geo Team and now Alhaitam in spread team. But with Hu C1 I can pretty much erase everything and also I find her personality quite funny. So, if I can give you a word of advice: Hu Tao is a better and stronger option. But it all comes down to what you want for your roster.
@Andres Hidalgo thank yooouuuu. I still want Venti, but yeah, I lost interest in Ganyu around that comment/a bit after. I don't even think she's that cute anymore. Very interesting character development lol. I've gotten a lot of good characters since then, and leveled up my Wanderer a bunch. He's still probably my biggest hitter overall, and definitely my main. I still want Venti, especially because I have no crowd control, but my attention quickly shifted to Eula. I want her for her nuke, and I love her character, and design. And she hasn't had a rerun in so long that if I don't get her next time, I might not get another chance until my hair is grey. I'm just not sure if I'll like her play style tho. Claymores have fallen off in coolness for me. I thought I'd like Beidou, but so far I'm a bit disappointed. Although I'm no master, and have a lot to learn. And I know her normals aren't what you use her for.
I've been liking faster play styles recently. I'm really tempted to get Hu Tao cuz I love her character too, and I know she'd be op with the characters I have, but Eula's rarity really has me in a chokehold
@Drake Voidwalker I'm glad you got him! His playstyle is very different from those you originally wanted. Venti is just a God in crowd control, but Ganyu... Well, I found her to be boring. Walking backwards while aiming for charge shots in chaotic scenarios is just frustrating, cuz you ended up missing sometimes. I'm more of a straight into the bateffiel (Ayaka and Heizou, for example). Hope you enjoy them once you get them!
@kejow don't worry. I got him, c2 Faruzan AND c1 Yanfei (my old main) in 5 10x pulls a bit after my first comment. So the main goal is still up and running 😈
I did kinda reset my pity doing that tho, so uhh I may pay for that later. I'm a grinder, and both of their banners aren't coming any time soon, so hopefully it's fine 😅. That's kinda why I felt safe pulling

Definitely enjoying him 🥰 tho if im going to point something it is that I find it ridiculous he can still get hit in the air.. like multiple enemies r flying n we can’t hit them easily . But for our very first flying character we actually can be attacked without a sweat

And yes you couldve relied on leaked data since its been more than clear, for over 2 years now, that 99% of the unreliable information comes from unverified leak sources and damage calculations, and not actual gameplay of how a character works, that is easily available online 💀
@MajorWakanda I was also annoyed by the person they responded to because they made it as if am I at fault for pulling a character I want regardless its flaws.
Wish you good luck in getting ur scara he is definitely fun to use and to mess around. Meta units are so far stable so there is no need to worry about any changes tbh.

This team seems more like a meme but it’s actually pretty good.
I call it the avatar team! Basically it’s wanderer (air) xingqiu (water) Zhongli (earth) thoma (fire)
Not a bad team actually. The only problem is that Zhongli and Thoma together make each other redundant since both of them are shielders. If you can replace Zhongli with Yun Jin, you will boost Wanderer's overall damage while still having a Geo character in the team.
If you wrap your mind around Anemo Yoimiya you will be happier. Hes Like Xiao, Cyno, Yoimiya in how you should work him into how you build your team around him. He wants field time.

alhaitham's kit is confirmed to be spread dps so raiden is probably a must (kuki will work too)

Raiden is def worth it. I initially was gonna save for Alhaitham but impulse pulled on Wanderers. Now I don't have enough for both Alhaitham and Yelan lmao. Keep strong.

I just got Scaramouche earlier and I was so shocked. Scaramouche is my 2nd 5 star character that I have and I wish I can grind more for his artifacts
Just a heads up, don't worry too much about artifacts during the early/mid-game. Artifact farming becomes wayyy more efficient once you unlock World Level 6 at AR45, until then just focus on ascending characters and leveling up talents. Try to save as many fragile resins as possible for when you hit AR 45 and can finally get the most out of the Artifact Domains
If you're new then you might have just hit the jackpot, he's so good for exploration
I lucked out and got his C1 in the next 10 pull (yay luck!) so I'm really looking forward to building him! Even weak and squishy as he is right now he's already so fun to play. Definitely solidifies my love of catalysts cx

I'm even more stunned and actually disappointed that Husk of Opulent Dreams wasn't Scaramouche main/Best artifact set since the set is literally about him and one of the pieces is what Ei gave to him as protection so everyone knew he had the favor of Her Excellency. Bunch of missed opportunities in my opinion. He didn't need EVERYTHING brand new. I understand it's about his freedom and forging his own path but come on that would have been so amazing especially for hardcover lore junkies like Sevy or Tevationary or quite a few other amazing lore channels I love lol. Welp, I guess it is what it is bythewaysevyiloveyou so yea Hoyoverse should just go with their already built in lore.
Fantastic review. I pulled him and started leveling him up. He's fun, but he doesn't feel like he's going to be part of the Meta. Just another interesting character, probably better for overworld exploration.
@Pragya Jain I've continued to play him, and in my FAILED attempt to get C2 Farazan, I ended up with C2 Wanderer... Go figure. (140 wishes total on this banner.) So anyway... I agree that you don't need meta. In fact, the last couple cycles have favored substitution of at least one character in traditional meta comps.
Back to Wanderer. This abyss cycle is supposed to favor him, but he's still pretty bad. I haven't fully invested in his burst yet. (He's 10/8/6) At C2, his burst is stupid strong. (At level 6 it hits for 250k) Even with that, he's just barely making it. By the time everyone is invested, he will be strong enough no doubt... But if I didn't already have a ton of teams that could 36* abyss, I would NOT recommend pulling him.
Strength:
His AOE in tight groups is disgusting!
Weakness:
The AOE field is small.
Annoying:
Very limited effective comps. You need a pyro character to maximize his damage, and Benny is the really the only one that makes sense. So now you have this high-mobility unit who can't move out of the circle on the ground. >.>
The only content that may require meta is floor 12 of abyss I mean 150 primos is no biggie honestly
@Arwen Lostlorn Generally, it doesn't matter. However, it does feel bad to invest in a character only to have him underperform significantly.

Kagura's is absolutely capable of getting all 3 stacks, it doesnt seem like it should work but it does although the damage bonus to skill only applies to the jump portion of his skill

If you use him on a bloom team then you could give him 4 piece vermillion, using the self inflicted bloom damage to trigger the set.

I got every character on his banner including him and an extra constellation for Chongyun, I feel blessed rn.
I feel like C1 Scara is what you want to aim for cause it makes him feel smoother, especially cause I'm running him with lost prayer cause I don't feel like his wep is THAT worth it. (also I'm poor lol)
C2 makes him "complete" for me cause his burst is rather lackluster in dmg,everything else is nice but QoL rather than anything.

I was extremely convinced I didn’t care about wanderer until I actually played the rest of him. Now I want him badly
though his weapon is his bis weapon i kinda prefer the lost prayer on him, my crit ratio is better and the only thing im losing is the atk speed. This makes me wanna pull for his c1 rather than his weapon. I run two piece vv and two piece glad btw and majority of my artifacts have good amount of crits. My wanderer has 1,900 atk, 88 crit rate and 190(a bit more i think) crit dmg. Can i get some opinions?
He looks like a really fun unit. A shame I can't get him, but it is what it is.

Kinda sucks (lol) that his ult doesn't have suction. I was banking on that as an opener for him before floating.
Will probably play him as a hypercarry with kazuha or venti (grouper/battery), thoma (shield), and bennett to maximize atk buffs from pyro resonance. Though there's also the option of putting xingqui for some interrupt resist and vaporize mechanics.
Time to farm that new domain for artifacts, i guess.
looks cool, esp. his traversal/limited flight stuff, but I already have Kazuha, and am saving up for the Raiden re-run (I want to C2 her, and, more importantly, I want her weapon)
I don't expect getting wanderer at 10 pulls and now I'm watching this.
I have plenty of Shimenawa artifact pieces, since I spent two months in the domain while building my Raiden, Xiangling and Mona. So, my Wanderer has an amazing Shimenawa artifact set now.
The problem is you have to be aware of you energy burst level to trigger the 50% attack boost (if you fail this there is no bonus from the artifact), not to say it is harder to burst with Wanderer and he is not as fast. In the long run, I will get the Desert Pavilion for him, since then I will have no constrains about energy calculation and the character's speed.
I have C1 Scara and a built Ganyu but Idk who else to add to my team. Im really hoping both of them will be in it bc Ganyu has been my main dps forever and does the most damage. Wanderer is also my first triple crowned. Any thoughts on who else I could add?

Hey! I was wondering how I should prioritize my teams now and optimizing. I have two teams (Melt Ganyu & Aggrevate Raiden*) and they do okay in abyss but idk whether to work on perfecting thier artifacts or building more teams. I'm a dolphin spender so I have lots of 5 stars to build but idk if I should just make crazy ganyu team and Raiden or start making more diversity! Please help!!!!

I'm trying a team with him, diona, c6 candance and rosaria and it's pretty good
Wanderer troupe isnt completely bad on him because the thing is his CA cost 0 stamina when used under the windfavored form so you can do 7-8 CA in 1 cycle. If you have a very good wanderer troupe set you can use it but you have to spam CA instead of NA
Speaking of artifacts, I'd also recommend *against* 4 BS in freeze teams. With his ascension stat and A1, you'll overcrit by quite a lot (120+% isn't hard to achieve) if you play this set
There is 2 team comp in my mind:
For fighting many mobs..
Venti for grouping and shred
Faruzan anemo dmg buff
Benny for buff and scara infusion
Scara main damage.
For bosses....
Layla for shield and scara infusion
Faruzan anemo buff
Benny
Scara.
Did 3 10x pulls and on the 3rd one, I got scaramouche AND faruzan. No lie 😲😲🔥🔥 that's the earliest I won a 50/50

Would a team including Fischl, Raiden, Xingqui/Kokomi and Wanderer be viable for taser? I´ve been really enjoying taser teams as of late and I want to pull for him a lot! If this team is viable, would his best set be Viridescent Venerer or Desert Pavillion Chronicles?
If Yae Miko had Wanderer's burst animation, she'd be a 6 star.
@Naren Oh I don't mean it like that. Definitely agree Miko's current animation is 5/5, and I don't like wanderer's animation even close to how much I like her current one. I just want her to step on me.

diona and bennett or xiangling and bennett for the extra 25% resonance bonus?
I have like 75% crit rate already but I find it hard to get both pyro and cryo buffs consistently so maybe it's better to go dual fire + xiangling big burst dmg
His damage output is well-rounded, a part from his pointless Burst (no CC and mid multipliers). If you don't have storage or simply you don't bother farming yet another artifact domain, just go with Shimenawa, as you can easily avoid relying on his Burst.
In the end, he is a mid unit, for he doesn't provide any benefit for the team (unless you build him with VV, but at that point just use Sucrose as a team driver): he is just there for dealing damage in a very straightforward manner (spam attacks)... if only they designed him to be more reliant on charged attacks, so as to give a meaning to the fact that, when hovering, he doesn't consume stamina to do charged attacks. They missed a good opportunity here.

Gosh I'm still shaking, I got Scara at 35 pity, winning the 50/50, 2 Faruzan Cons, a Layla and Scara's signature weapon with 20 wishes. The best rolls I've ever gotten and I will ever get on this game. Now I have to farm so much :') best of luck on your pulls guys and gals

Logically he’s pretty easy to build, Viridescent domain is literally child’s play, talent material domain is the same case as well for the most part, for weapons Mappa Mare will do the job as well since it’s meta for most Anemo user to bulk up on EM. The only actual challenge you’ll face is leveling up his challenge from level 6 beyond with the weekly bosses material and finding the mushroom for ascension. The results of ur effort is pretty worthwhile since he’s got good AoE, stamina management and an absolute unit for exploration and puzzle cheesing. And yes you’ll have to be constantly on the move because he’s easily staggered mid E skill but other than that he’s a neato of a anemo dps, think of him as a Xiao optional alternative.
Won his 50/50, weapon banner was another thing because I got Skyward Atlas and Redhorm stonethresher both at pity 50. So now, I can guarantee his weapon

I've been running 4 piece Wanderers with good results on a reaction team then spamming charge attacks.
I really had fun using him in the trial, sad that I am saving for Raiden.

Sometimes some characters want to come home even tho you didn't plan to pull for them. Wanderer is my case. I planned to pull only for Itto's claymore and ended up having +2 scara's catalyst. I had 50 wishes left and decided to try his banner, just because i have his weapon... And he came home early with Faruzan together. 😁 So now I have one more boy to build, sorry AlHaitham but I'll get you on rerun

I got him and Faruzan in my first 10 pull! I tried two more times to get C's for Faruzan and Yanfei with no luck. I'm bummed Faruzan is kind of useless until C6 but I think I won't pull anymore on this banner. Time now to save for the next target, hopefully Alhaitham.
@Bjorn Nilsson That's fair, I hope you enjoy using her! I will probably build her too but she's not going to be a priority. I have Kazuha and Benny that I'll probably use with him. Plus I don't even have enough anemo stuff to build Wanderer at this point, lol. He's level 50 now so that will take some grinding.
Faruzan is a monster at c6, but that doesn't mean she's useless before then. I plan on building my c0 Faruzan (might snipe a bit more on the banner for c2 later), that anemo res shred and dmg% buff is too good to pass up, even if she does deal 0 damage.
What artifacts should I focus on Early game, Should I be stacking attack or crit, and is there a certain set that is good for early-mid combat

I didn't want him, but got him. Running on two atack sets and in a team with raiden yelan and thoma. Also I have Em piece with pretty good subs instead of attack piece

I cant seem to build a good hyperbloom team with Wanderer.
Do you think the national team is as strong as using a c6 faruzan in a team?
he's okay overall but imagine if he could actually do kiting, I really think that would've solved his clunkiness.

Also I feel like he's basically good with anyone and he's so fun to explore with as you can run until you're out of stamina, fly and have your stamina back by the time it's over - Moving around is so fast and fun !! and farming mushrooms became a whole lot easier xD
i wanna know what y'all named him,, i felt too much pressure about the naming so i just ended up searching for male names that mean reborn or something similar so i named him Tadesse
He's the first character I prefarmed but the more I see of him the less I want him.
The fact that wanderer's signature artifact set cost me 30+ F. Resin and i still didn't manage to get a single good piece for him or my kuki and Thoma

I hate that he has no interruption resistance!!! Considering he’s supposed to feel godly while hovering, getting knocked by a pebble makes the flying feel pointless Lol
I got his C1 in 20 pulls while trying to get Gorou's C6. Now, he's the first limited 5* I have constellation for, his banner seems to be pretty kind to players. My Gorou is finally C6 and Faruzan is C4.
I got Keqing after 20 pulls(was 59 pity) and got him after 30 pulls later, guess he wasnt that kind to me. Nor faruzan (on my second Acc i have he came tho on pity and with C1 Faruzan)

I got him guarantee at 12 pity, and my sibling won the 50/50 at their first 10 pull. So yeah, Wanderer banner seens really nice to players, in my opinion. Still going to pull more, I want to C6 my Gorou and get at least C2 Faruzan. I already have Itto, but if the banner really turnout extra generous, might as well try for his C1 too

Does raidens e aply to scaras e? Cause if so, raiden would also be a good support for him
I think Hoyo could easily bump him up to top tier if he had double flight stamina while out of combat. I get making flight limited while in combat given the nature of combat rotations in the game, but cucking him on his exploration potential on the overworld makes absolutely no sense

Shimenawa could be a good set for him:
his damage phase comes after activating his skill
right after the skill ends, cast the burst damage
no need to worry about energy, coz he should produce quite a lot on his skill phase,
no need to worry about na/ca balance coz shimenawa buffs both
They shouldnt have made the state random but an actual mechanic instead.
It takes away from skill and planing as you will lose ALOT of skill stamina by dodging without it, potentially ruining your rotation depending on what lineup you use.
It works with Ayato gear set but thats because Its not time limited and it doesnt shorten your rotation if it doesnt trigger.
Even if youre unlucky it even out in the end.

I just think its a waste cuz he couldve been even better (without being broken) and even more fun.

I'm looking to get Wanderer, just because I love getting characters that can help with messing around in the game
I have Kazuha because he can help you climb any vertical surface of any height if you're patient enough to use his skill over and over
I have Ayaka because she's the best way to travel across water without a boat
I have Ganyu because she can create ice on water Ayaka can jump down to and start a sprint from, if she can't get to the water's edge directly
Obviously, I didn't get these characters purely for those reasons, but those reasons definitely helped in the final decision to pull for them
And the exploration possibilities with Wanderer...
Just imagine how fun it'd be to use him when you're out-of-bounds, for instance
