- Today is a bit of a catch up episode to show you the various farms I've been building, projects in the works, and just a bunch of random stuff. We also get to take our first look into VintageBeef's Trading Card Game.

I feel so sad for poor Etho. Just as he's shaken off a shopping addiction, he gets addicted to Beef's Hermitcraft TCG. And we all know, in 2-3 months, once he's shaken off his TGC addiction, wham! Tango will release Decked Out 2, and we're back to square one!
Anyway, can't wait to see you enjoy those Hermitcraft megaprojects.
Yeah, Etho is really good at TGC games and I wouldn't discount the play at the end as pure luck. Etho has done more insane stuff on Hearthstone with relatively weaker cards before.

Having watched Beef grinding away at his maps for almost a year now, it feels so good to see the Hermits genuinely excited to open booster packs and propose trades.

@White Void Microsoft is definitely greedy enough to do that. That being said, I would love to see a physical Hermitcraft card game.
@White Void hope they just dont still it( even tho it was them /i mean the icons like "stairs ,elyritra etc./). And if it does hopefully they give a credit to beef about it
I suspect Microsoft might pick up the idea and actually make a separate card game based on that idea
It's so crazy to me how long Etho, bdubs, beef and doc have been playing minecraft together.

@James Hedin The process is relatively easy, the nuisance on the other hand is gonna the hard part.
@ChauNyan it would be fun at least to get even just a few of those goat horns for the name of the move and let that shout it for you, just that would be fun for those really fun names

@ChauNyan really hard though. Need to get Joe to record context dependent haikus and detect which maps are active and calculate the right record to use give the active maps
Since X is the admin and demonstrated custom records, I'm sure it's gonna be pretty easy to implement.
the switch from "well, it doesn't really matter how good you are if you don't have a good deck" to "all skill, doc!" made me laugh. love this

@Ive Harzing I know they are hard. But if you look for some compilations you will see Etho landing a few anvils on players on the Mindcrack server, and of course the kill on GenerikB. In all of them, the targets are not AFK and are either doing something or interacting with other players. Sure, Etho did get Doc while he was AFK, but Doc did it first, and that is why it was fair game.

Absolutely! There’s just something about it that makes me laugh a ton. It’s memorable. The spider eyes, and now the anvil revenge! Classics!

What a nostalgic episode. The anvil wars brought me back to the mindcrack days! And trading cards in the shop brought me straight back to third grade! Amazed at what Beef has accomplished here, ngl I wasn't sure he'd get there, but it's even better than I hoped!
Also, Joe's haikus every time his move was used... *chef's kiss*
More of these please!! I know you like to keep the episodes fresh, but maybe you could do what you did for decked out and have separate videos? I know lots of us would love to see more!
@Himmel 💚🏁 Hopefully you’ve seen a lot more people using both pronouns now. I’ve noticed the Limited Lifers are doing it as well and it makes me so happy. Specifically, both Pearl and Scar have done it in their week 3 episodes.
My only experience with Mind Crack is watching HCJustin now and hearing him mention Guude which is such a weird connection

@Red Skywalker They do! zombiecleostreams is the name of their second channel. Unfortunately, isn't able to upload right away but she does eventually upload. If you go to Etho's subreddit, there are links available that have been conveniently time-stamped for us for a bunch of matches which includes all of Etho's. The title is "Etho is live on Cleo’s stream for the second day in a row". Etho also showed up on Ren's livestream today around 4 hours in. Ren doesn't have a second channel so be sure to check it out! Etho plays twice.
ETHO that's crazy, I went 6 years without going to the dentist and ultimately had to go back last year. I was terrified from bad past experiences too but after I went I was impressed with how much technology has improved since then and how little pain I felt during the Op. I had gotten 2 root canals and 3 porcelain caps done. I'm sure you might be a bit sore after but I totally would love to hear how your experience went after the fact in the next video!
I applaud you for being able to go back. My last experience was so bad. Between the pain and the dentist himself just being very rude and dismissive has just made it to where I never wanna go back. It was my second time ever at the dentists office and honestly....both times were not pleasant. Sadly the only place in my local area I can go to with my insurance. Maybe one day I can move and find a better dentist but I'll happily just deal with how my teeth are then go back to that dentists office.
Ouch. Regular cleanings can prevent that more painful work! Glad you faced your fears.

Some people are genetically blessed with good teeth combining that with good cleaning habits, they don't need to visit the dentist often.
When I was younger I was scared and crying and they help my arms and legs down and tie me up to the chair
@Jacksaur Might be a good idea to find a new dentist at this point. Ask around who has heard of a good one near you. Preferably one who has some experience working with traumatised patients - because it sounds like that §&$% traumatised you quite thouroghly. Younger dentists with ~5 years job experience are worth looking into. They are far less likely to choose some outdated approach and you'd know if they were bad by a lack of patients in the waiting room when you go for your first visit. Also, the first visit rarely ever entails any actual dentist work, so you can get a good first impression and will know what even needs to be done. You can still choose another dentist afterwards and get second opinions after what you've been through as a kid. Don't wait until you are in serious pain. I can tell you from experience that it hurts like sh*t to get a shot of anaesthetics right into a severely infected area. It's so much better to go when it doesn't hurt yet.

Etho I can’t help but notice that every farm you showed you said it was simple or basic but that entire tour was super fascinating! I could have watched 2 hours of that! I wish I could have that level of dedication :)

When Doc saw Etho’s tree farm, it’s a great interaction of recognizing each others red stone. Just a heartfelt moment
I love how the ash in the nether hub ends up looking like snow with the context of the winter themed portal room.
I love how etho went from being bad with noteblocks to actually being really good and making some great musical contraptions with them
The more TCG and decked out the better - I absolutely love that you include it at the end of the episode as a bonus! But if you ever wanted to do whole episodes of them you have at least one person that will be very excited!!

Long episodes are welcomed. We see you so rarely. It'd be nice to have the occasional hour-long episode. Especially if you've got a bunch of small things to catch us up on. Hope the editing isn't too difficult tho.

Holy crap, this TCG is so quality! I built a TCG in-game years ago, but I used written books to write the effects. These cards have custom icons, map art, little custom vending machine things to buy cards... So cool! As a Pokemon TCG player, I'd love to find the unbeatable meta strategy... haha.
Absolute props to Beef, this is a solid card game. Cannot wait to see all the games people play across the season :)
This was such a good episode! Good luck at the dentist! Also, not only is the card game just an awesome game, and it’s super nice to see the TFC card get used. I think he would really like to know that he’s still giving happiness to his friends and viewers.
Hey Etho. I was looking at your super speedy roadway and I think there is something faster. If you are in crawl/swim mode it triggers swift sneak but you can still use the boost from soul speed if you are swimming over soul soil so it just adds an extra boost to the already insane speed.
The war with doc would be a fun transition segment in each episode XD
I love that throughout the video after you build the noteblocks, you can hear that effort being put to use and know how much of a difference it makes the trading feel when you get new packs. I've always loved the work you do with noteblocks Etho.

Thank you for the tour….that’s a massive amount of farms! I could be jealous of those who will be lucky enough to be able to use the download after the season ends. I’d love to be able to walk among those builds. They’d look just fine with floral & bush borders and grass paths, they’re so efficient and tidy!

@thomasfplm Each individual bone meal produces multiple flowers, thus multiple white dye instead of one.
Yeah he just uses up so much bone meal for all of his farms that it’s good to have another source of white dye
@MinusPi, but since he already has the bone meal, there is no need for those flowers.
He uses all that bone meal for all the farms. The flower's only other use is decoration, much cheaper.
I got confused by that too xD like what about that million of bonemeal?

Love this episode. Also Etho if you want Pearl's trash shop might be ideal for hoarding. You can put items in there and trade for whatever you need.

A tour of the farms and the base is welcomed as always! Seeing hermits play the TCG is something I've been waiting for since Beef announced the game at the start of the season. That chorus fruit really came at a handy time towards the end!
Love the interactions between you and Doc after all these years you are still fantastic friends. Such a fun episode, and the TCG game seems like a lot of fun, I can see you getting into it big time lol. Keep up the great work Etho!

Hey, Etho your videos have always made me smile and I just want to say thank you. I'll sadly admit that I sometimes go long periods without watching any of your content, not because of you in any way, because I do get burned out from Minecraft. Yet when I do come back there's always tons of wholesome and great content waiting for me. Your long running series like your Let's Play always make me feel like I have a familiar world to escape to and it really does mean a lot.
I've been having a difficult time lately and my brain randomly thought of your channel despite it being a few months since watching your last video, but I already feel better and can't help but have this goofy grin on my face. Thanks Etho!
P.S: I've always wanted to say this, but the clip you use for your into and outro are absolutely beautiful and I sometimes spend a good 5 minutes watching it over and over! It's a breathtaking intro and I've never found another like it. The way it fades in showing your Minecraft world at night with the moon and swaying tree as the the wisps of color combine to spell your name before shooting into the camera gets me hyped for a video and relaxed at the same time. :D

What I like about your moss farm is that you don't bother to wait until all the items have flown away before the water turns off. And you don't need to, it'll get there next time, but for some reason I would always base the timing off of making sure the items all made it out. So yeah, that's a good lesson for me.
Hope the dentist is as pain-free as possible this time!
TCG looks fun... with that and Decked Out 2 and the minigames district (and the boat race you're maybe making with Ren?) looks like a lot of fun times with the hermits this season :D
