Prison is a business that is fueled by Black failure. There has been times where crime rates dropped yet the prison population still rose. Yes, we should educate young black girls and boys, but that won't be enough to reduce the booming business that's is the prison industrial complex!

Story of O.J breaks down wealth building in song, listen to the lyrics get a clue. Credit is the key, real estate, and flipping things that have value and passing it down generation to generation is how u ensure ur families family is wealthy. Starting is the beginning don’t think that it’s beyond reach, but u have to start it to end it in wealth.
“U on the ‘gram holdin’ money to ur ear there’s a disconnect we don’t call that money over here”

So I’ve heard a lot of good however I became concerned when I heard the ideology about the prison pipeline situation being a result of lack of education but what about the unfair policing that’s behind the more consistent effort to investigate/harass minorities for harmless crimes like “walking and looking scared”, is education going to stop that? And I became more concerned due to your intent to run for mayor in 2021 Mr. Adams... I heard that. 😜

And for the record, many of us have grown up with men in our neighborhoods with locs who wore styles like this and many other creative styles... ESPECIALLY (but not only) Jamaican men around where I grew up (in upstate NY). Ya'll always on some bashing, tear down or self-hate bullshit!

I believe in financial education, but using debt does not give you a discount and leasing cars is the most expensive way to drive a car.

    • Gregory Prosper
      Gregory Prosper 2 місяці тому

@Zulu Immortal In a lease, your payments for that lease period cover the cost of depreciation on that vehicle. Doesn't matter that your renting it, your still paying for the depreciation. The dealership isn't losing money on your lease. A quick Google search will show you multiple sources that confirm that leasing is the most expensive method of driving a car.

    • Zulu Immortal
      Zulu Immortal 2 місяці тому

You are absolutely wrong. Us I g credit THE RIGHT WAY can open the door extreme wealth you just have to know what you are doing. And leasing a car can be a great decision because you RENT a depreciating asset rather than owning one. This partial education is part of the problem...there are many ways to skin a cat. Make a plan work the plan

These financial literacy classes that are taught are all the same. I think they need to teach business, investing, cash flow, competitve advantages/moats, index funds, capital allocation, taxes. If I was to teach a business class I would teach how to investigate companies and learning markets.

Wow Eric Adams really struck home with me. Im a Paramedic up in Canada, and I literally swear there must be like 4 other people of our decent doing this job that ive seen, at least where I am. And there is a strange stigma to get through, along with financial stigmas of having bad credit and improving it, I just had no idea how important this was in relation to your ease of life. Luckily, in Canada you can improve yourself and obtain a student loan without having any credit at all, which has also been so important to how far and intelligent ive been able to become. How keeping that credit in check, is allowing me to have way less stress, not having to put 25000$ down when you could put Nothing down. Thats a massive difference, that expands your invest opportunities drastically, and ultimately life opportunities drastically.
