I literally bought my mini 3 pro 2 months ago now I'm pissed -_- Would've gotten far better 4 pro if I knew. the antennas on both drone and remote are a lot better compared to the 3 or for that matter mini 2 has better range in urban areas than 3. Also the omnidirectional avoidance looks neat.
I just got my mini 3 couple weeks ago and it's great, but I like that obstacle observation on the 4 pro 🔥

@tazztonethat’s probably due to restrictions which you can change on both drones

Honestly insane , from my first being a phantom 4 pro, doing 4k , 60, i wouldn’t have ever thought something this size can push out 4k 100fps
I think the size of that videos will be so huge 😭 Need to buy new memory storages😅
man i had one, and the 4k60 was achieved by reading the sensor unevenly causing jagged lines aka aliasing. ofc this wasn't mentioned in marketing material. just as they forget to mention the altitude limit of 120m with this mini 4 pro now

The mini series is so cool! The fact that they made the mini drones 249 Grams is incredible, at first i thought the drones were like 500 g but i was wrong, Keep up the good work DJI 💪
I'm questioning that. They didn't mention the battery life. And they have 2 battery options, it seems. 34 mins and 45 mins.... will it be over 249 grams with the 45 mins flight time
Yes, the small print at the end says it will be over 249g for the extended battery option

@Alex McIver I have heaps of drones before hand, my current drone is the Tello. But after me seeing the prices for the Mini 4 Pro, it’s most likely I might not be getting it for Christmas, I literally can’t afford it

Looks great! The most important features i liked, are 360 angle protection for obstacles like air, upgraded lowlight performance and 4k 100fps slow motion!
don't forget the 120m altitude limit, down from 500m of mini3pro :P

Ive bought the original mini when it came out, it really jumped started my passion for aerial photography I have an air 3 currently and I'm loving it I might just get this too, would make the perfect portable duo

mini 4 pro might go far, but since c0 certification they will only go so high: 120m altitude limit VS 500m on (yet uncertified) mini 3 pro
I hope DJI added this features to their other products. ActiveTrack 360 is so nice😊

It’s honestly not such a big jump, at least not worth upgrading yet. I’ll stick to my mini 3 pro which is still amazing, i’ll see what the 5 has to offer when it’s time.

I use my dji mini 3 pro extensively and I love the shots I'm getting with it... So I can just say congratulations to the future owners of this one.

I have been flying the Mini 3 Pro for over a year professionally and it is by far my favorite/ go to drone.
the flight path saving is honestly a must...wish there was an update that offered it on the mini 3 pro
but i hope they will not "upgrade" to the altitude limit of 120m of mini4 😂

Looks awesome. Currently using the 3 Pro. Might need to upgrade to this one, particularly for the obstacle sensing.
I have the Mini 3 Pro which is an incredible machine. I hoped the next iteration would have a larger sensor, but the Mini 4 Pro's sensor is the same size. I don't think the new features justify a purchase for me, as my main concern is video and image quality. I know you can't just put a larger sensor in a tiny drone, but maybe it could be done if you were to remove other functionality. Get rid of vertical for example, that's wasted on most people. Sensor size is so much more important to some people like me than almost anything else, but due to UK rules it must be under 250g. Still, I'm sure the Mini 4 Pro will do well, it's looks great. I still love my Mini 3 Pro after having it about a year.
Grab the Air 3 if you need a large sensor.
@Engage RC I wish I could, but as it's over 250g I wouldn't be able to do much of what I need it for. If I could afford to I'd have both, as I would be able to use the Air sometimes.
I've been wondering for years why they didn't angle the obstacle detection cameras. I'm surprised it finally came to their senses.

The most exciting thing i guess is the dynamic active track.. which is a software development. Camera upgrades are fair. Obstacle avoidance is also fair.
I’m still rocking the Mavic Mini for over 3 years now, upgrading to this will be a big leap!

Question: In the mini 3 pro, you could only shoot in standard profile when using the preset flight tracks (not in cinelike). Are the preset tracks still shooting in standard, or is D-LogM now unlocked for the mini 4 pro?
good question. i think u mean quick shots. don't see a reason why this wouldn't be possible. they should fix it

4k @ 100FPS not even the most modern top of the line DSLR professional cameras can do that lol.. props DJI, created a monster out of the mini!

What a beast! Can't wait to have one. 30 to 40 min. battery life is still quite low but considering the size, will go for it.
30-40min is low? I can barely fly 20 min in a single flight before capturing everything i need and taking a break!
Or buy the fly more combo and you have 3 batteries

Finally, the difference between Mini and Air is just the size of battery pack and a camera setup! This is as it should be and the Mini 4 Pro is a full-featured drone for people who don't want to do anything profesional with the drone and just want to have fun.

i feel like some features could be possible on mini 3 pro as well via a software update which probably aint gonna happen tho since dji obviously want to seel their new product but it would be a big W move if they did gave the mini 3 pro some software update
I prefer not having those dangling antennas. Internal antenna system is so peaceful when packing up the controller!
The biggest update is a omni directional obstacle avoidance system. That’s it.
Totally agree. Love DJI, but it doesn't seem that much different from my DJI Mini3Pro.
And ActiveTrack 360º + better night shot video, you can fold the antennas so it's not even much more bulky.
@Joshualets be honest though. Is it worth upgrading from the mini 3 pro? Not really a huge leap compared from mini 2 to mini 3. If you look at the specs, theres really no much of a difference. Same camera size, same everything. The only difference is the new "omni" directional obstacle avoidance( I heard the main update was the front sensor which has the ability to detect further objects now , the maximum sensing speed also got increased quite a bit; could mean you can just full throttle in to trees hahah,O4 system, new video format and new QoL changes in the software that could be implemented to the mini 3 pro if they wanted too. Ill give it about a month before I ride the train on this one. The batteries on the mini 3 pro is compatible ayways hahaha
The best feature of this drone for me is that they lowered the price with these big improvements!!
Is this drone compatible with the RC Pro? If not, are there plans to update the controller to make it compatible? It is much easier to travel with one top-spec controller and 2-3 drones. Thank you.

To be honest, I’ll stick to my Mini 3 Pro. Not that big of an upgrade. Ok, 4k 100 fps and on Mini 3 Pro you have max 60 fps which to be honest is still good for slow motion. 360 obstacle avoidance it’s not really a must if you’re experienced with controlling the 3 pro, which has sensors everywhere except for the sides…and the night sensor on the 4 pro, if you can play with the ISO, exposure and shutter speed you can get something nice even with the 3 pro during the night. Just my opinion
One year completed using my mini 3 pro . I think it's time to upgrade.

Updates are minor for an upgrade. First and most important thing for an image is the good light! No bigger & better quality sensor for now.
It's a 100% SKIP until at least 1 inch or 4/3 CMOS available on this one!

All im gonna say is, if you want features that require bigger, heavier hardware elements in a drone that is required to be small and lightweight, then keep dreaming. I think its good enough considering the price isn't even that much higher, its just a refined mini 3 pro with omnidirectional obstacle sensing and transmission that actually works.
Greeting. 👋 I sold the mini 3 pro and bought a mini 4 pro with a new rc2 controller a few days ago. Mini 3 was good but mini 4 is incomparably better. The O4 is fantastic and the signal is much better. The picture on the rc2 screen is excellent. The side sensor works great. It is especially good that the batteries with the mini 3 are compatible with the mini 4. One thing is for sure if you take the mini 4 pro you must take it with the rc 2 controller.
This will be my forst drone experience. Was so close to buying the mini 3 which also looks amazing, but had to be patient a couple months for this. Woke up early to see if it was live, but seems it wont go live on Amazon until 7 pm CDT?

Hi DJI. Please update the Mini 4 pro to be compatible with the goggles 2 and motion controller 2 as soon as possible, then it is the perfect mini drone. It will be hard to make a better one for a mini 5 what more can you do?

This is the one I've been waiting for. I would have purchased a skydio 2+ But it seems like that company doesn't like consumers at all. They seemed to be focusing on selling points but have no real product it's a present yet somehow all of these social media guys have it given to them. It makes sense.
