I’ve always believed Slytherin gets a bad wrap as the evil house. That’s why I’m going to be in Slytherin and go the evil route. I’m gonna give them a reason.

First hour of the game will be character creation, and the next 10 hours will be exploring the castle.

I’m so glad they are pushing stuff back and making sure things work before releasing an unfinished game like every game company has done the past few years

My first playthough will definitely just be me playing like I was the character. Not going for bad or good. I'm always curious what ending I get depending on the choices I would make if I was in that real situation.

I think it would be great if we get to choose our lineage: pure blood, half or Muggle born and that impacts the gameplay as well

I believe that quidditch will become a DLC. I think that it was a smart decision to focus on the story at release, BUT I think they would also highly benefit from adding it as DLC. It also will give them a chance to "revive" the game content later on after the initial influx of players at release.

I’m a Slytherin but i feel like everyone goes for the “Slytherin = Evil” trope so my first run where I’ll be playing Slytherin will be my “good” run, my secondary house is Ravenclaw so for my second playthrough I’m going to be an “evil” Ravenclaw.

I agree...solo open games are the absolute best. They are like travelling or an adventure. It takes the competition out of it, and it gives you many ways to play. I am looking forward to it.

I'm happy to see a major game like this focus on the solo play experience, because that's really what makes games magical.
That being said I desperately wish this could have been co-op cross-platform so I could experience this with my friends.

I agree, solo games are underrated, and I much prefer going solo for the story at least.
I do believe a co-op mode or being able to connect with friends in cross-play/cross-platform would be amazing, even taking classes together would be really fun, exploring the castle grounds, dark forest, or other.
Hogwarts as a student, is very much a life on your own, but you're in a class, so it only makes sense to have friendship circles, including clubs, the social life has a lot of potential in this game, I think it'd be a waste not to have that.
I do agree with having no quidditch, as we could/should make a separate Quidditch game for that, akin to FIFA sports , a dedicated Quidditch game that can be much faster paced.
I'd be okay with 'some' racing missions on a mount or broom in the main Legacy game however.

Years ago, Wizarding World placed me in Ravenclaw based on the quiz. I’m stoked to be a Ravenclaw in the game because I always felt Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff were the least explored houses. It’ll be interesting to see where the game takes me.

Already pre-ordered. No exaggeration, I think about this game ALL THE TIME. The only thing that could have made me more excited for this game would be if it came with a VR mode. So looking forward to this!!!

As for the game, as long it does not do a last minute cyberpunk, I'll be playing Ravenclaw, my partner's going for hufflepuff.
They are jumping on the story mode, while I try my hand at both normal & hard to see how I fair.

As someone who literally grew up reading all of the Harry Potter books as they were released, and loved the movies, this game seriously looks amazing and I can't wait 😂😂❤️❤️

I am so incredible excited for this game! I personally loved the harry potter books/movies and the fantastic beasts movies so I have high expectations. Im even dipping into my saving account to get enough for the deluxe edition. I did the wizarding world house picker and got slytherin so my first playthrough is definitely gonna be an evil slytherin playthrough into a good slytherin playthrough

My uncle works in Warner media, he does a lot of marketing stuff and he works directly with the team that markets this game and one of them share with the team that he tried the demo that they showed 3 months ago, and he said and i quote that he "felt he was in Hogwarts" the attention to detail is ridiculously rich, he said that it looks like its going to be a hit, the game is being made from very passionate people and the care that has gone to this game is ridiculous, the puzzles hidden in the castle are incredible, almost 10 years of development are really noticeable, believe it this will not be a cyberpunk 2077.

I'm going to start as a Hufflepuff and i hope that using unforgettable curses on the enemies doesn't make you as a evil person. Also learning the dark arts and not the defense against them doesn't automatically put you into the bad category. Who doesn't want to learn dark arts and maybe use couple unforgettable curses on enemies that tries to kill you :D.

Not being a huge fan of HP I decided to get this game, just because it looks gorgeous and incredibly fun. I don't know much about the lore, so I watched the movies and hit the fandom wiki, and it kind of gave me enough info to at least get a bit more excited about the universe of this game. I did take the little "quiz" thing to get sorted and what have you. I guess I came out as Slytherin. Laurel/Unicorn hair wand. I dunno exactly what that all means but it gives me a good starting place anyways to be grounded in an unfamiliar world so I am very much so looking forward to playing it out.

I already have three character ideas I'm going to use. First will be the me character, where I transfer my stuff from Wizarding World, and play myself in my house with my wand. Then I'll play a heroic Slytherin and an evil Gryffindor, because I like the idea of going against the narrative that people have of Slytherins being evil and Gryffindors being good. There are some good Slytherins, and there are some Griffindors that were bullies, like James Potter and his crew, who would bully various students, not just Snape, and not just Slytherins. I just don't know what I'll do for a Hufflepuff character.

I'd imagine that Quidditch tourneys could be a great incentive for MMO aspects.
Imagine if we all played as a team for our houses.

I'd really like for this to be an MMO and group together with other wizards, battling it out. Excited to see more of the game!

I am so excited for this game I need to pre purchase still now that I have watched this video I am definitely going to purchase the deluxe Edition now. I am going to start with Griffindor and probably just roam around the castle for awhile. This games looks so amazing.

I hope I can be like an anti hero or someone willing to use dark arts for their own sake to do what they feel is right. The killing curse in the books are described to be painless and quick deaths void of violence which makes it seem like objectively not that evil of a spell if you use it for protection or your own goals as long as those aren’t to harm innocent people

I was expecting dissapointment since I've always wanted a game like this for Harry Potter and none of the others have truly encaptured what the scale of the HP universe has, but now I'm happy to say I'm freakin hyped!!

They really should have focused on making this game a massive MMO. The wizarding world is one that alot of people would like to live in.

I wasn’t too big of a fan of single player games, then I played Elden Ring… Probably the most hours I’ve put into a game in the shortest amount of time. Now I love solo games. Way less stressful, and I know if I lose, it’s nobody’s fault but my own.

I hope the different endings aren't just who wins at the end of the year at Hogwarts or something like that. Like Until Dawn 256 different endings were just different variations of who survived.

Sonic Adventure 2 was AWESOME. The game itself and breeding and evolving the different chaos was really cool and one of my favorite parts of my gaming childhood

Actually I want to be a slytherin but a nice one with people who use dark magic to do good stuff and help the ones in need, that would be exactly who i want to be at hogwart and i hope we can do that.

As a Wizarding World fan I'm very excited and really looking forward to it.

- I hope they have some kind of straight up necromancy at release. I'm sure modders will make it happen eventually but I could totally see having fun doing a kind of necromancer Wednesday style character and going Ravenclaw house.

Man the replay value of this game alone makes it more than worth the money in my opinion

I hope the house you choose will have more impact that the things you could chose from at the start of cyberpunk for example, it opened up some dialogue and changed the first mission but it didnt really impact gameplay apart from that

I’ve never fully indulged in the Harry Potter universe, but I’m sold on this experience. Looking forward to playing this game.
Also, who’s developing this game and what’s their track record? Some of this looks too good to be true, so I’m a little hesitant/skeptical based on the recent output of certain publishers and developers.

They need to have House specific quests. Is a great way to ensure replayability.
My only concern is how seamless the story will be. I saw some videos of, for example, getting quests from people and it looked cringy, weird and cheap. The sound was bad and the voice acting was horrible. If narrative is an essential part of the game, they're so many Single-Player games that do this amazingly and I'm hoping Hogwarts Legacy does this well.

Personally i really like that finally they make an only single player game cause nowadays just started to be annoyed by multiplayer focused games.

What's so appealing to me is the fact that you are not forced to be a good guy. Also seeing them delay other version to get it right shows they actually give a damn that their product is ready

For my first play through i think i am either gonna be Ravenclaw or Slytherin because that’s what I got from the hat sorting thing. I am going to play a “my choice” type game. I am not going to be extremely good but I also won’t be evil. I will do what is necessary for my own good. So i am going to normally play the game to see where I end up. I am going to play based off my decisions and thoughts. For the second play through I am going to be an evil bad ass Hufflepuff. People will fear me.

Agreed nowadays they're trying to get every game multiplayer online play and it really takes away from the experience I'm getting lost in the most in the world the game has created people like me this game might be refreshing

Re-playability = Value for the customer. The more you play it, the more attached you get. Then you are more likely to buy future games of a franchise.

I got sorted to go into slytherin and I’m not sure why, or if I should stay in it. Through all the books and movies, slytherin was put forth as a group for bad people. Then I thought, it may be the style of my thoughts and play, so maybe I should stick with the house that was chosen for me. If you knew me, you’d straight away not think I’d be in slytherin. I’m not ruthless, cunning, dangerous, self driven or any of that. In fact my son thought I’d end up in hufflepuff. 😮 Guess I’ll just have to wait and see. I can’t wait. So excited.

I choose to go with the PS5. Simply because The Haunted quest that's exclusive for 1 Year on PS5 & The Duelsense. Being able to feel every action will add to the immersion & overall enjoyment of Hogwarts Legacy.

I love single player games the first time I play them. There’s so many games that I’ve had an amazing time playing but can’t play again. Fallout 4, Elden ring, far cry 3, assassins creed black flag. Wish there was some kind of multiplayer element to this. Just seeing other players running around like fallout 76 would make it less lonely. I see your able to customise rooms but what’s the point if no one else can see it but you.

Proud Slytherin here, whom has been looking forward to this game since I first heard about it. I'm slowly starting my own channel and this may actually be the first one I Livestream as I play. Can't wait to explore the wizarding world. I grew up on these books and movies and look forward to what this game has in store.

I wonder if they will ever add pvp to the battle arena as the only source of multiplayer. That would be fun for sure.

what they needa have is two different lil teams i think one team is for the launch an make sure everythin goes good and they give it updates thru out and the other team find a way to incorporate an multiplayer feature for a yr or two down the line while the first team will be giving the game its updates and dlcs and stuff like that i think dat sounds pretty good idk

I LOATHE multiplayer games.
My priority is my experience. I'm partially handicapped so playing with others would affect (ruin) their enjoyment of a game.
My experience is my own so the issue only affects me.
I'm not a big fan of the HP franchise but enough that the first trailers and info were really good enough to want it.

From what I seen. The story line. Is a new 5th year joins the school. Like he didnt do 4 years at the school. It be better if you could do from first day like getting your letter and going and doing the 7 years and then expansion could be expanding on what’s next.
Combat and strategy looks cool.

im happy that you will be able to get the dark arts pack separately and that its not exclusive to the deluxe edition of the game, sometimes games will do that. but i would be doing what you said, 1 guy good character ravenclaw, and a girl character slytherin and possibly evil, that will be the idea but also for my girl character i cant wait to dig into potions, potions for healing, damage, damage buff and how i can hurt my oppenent and more. definitely looking forward to the game.

I read the books, after the deathly hollows I moved on from Harry Potter. After seeing this video I think I'll come home to hogwarts. This is everything the fans have been asking for since 2007. Yep time to come home I think

When HP came out and I was a kid I would of 100% picked Slytherin/Griffindor/Ravenclaw

It's too bad you couldn't have a buddy on the same server and map as yourself. You do story mode on your own but can meet up to do side missions together or just hangout and show off your inventory or magic.. Either way this game looks amazing.

Definitely going with slytherin first. Tbh kinda bummed they won’t include quidich or wizards chess..
